He could have easily downloaded the old game from here and then extracted the art from it using unren.

No even better. You get the same game as before, but cut into chuncks with like 3 new pics and everything is widescreen now
The biggest problem is Jenny and Debbie have the same old scenes, but both get like 2-3 extra pictures that do nothing for the story and have no sex in them.

The game starts faster, but that could also be because 98% of the content is missing

To be fair. A lot of scenes are mirrored! That takes 3 years for sure. Like fucking up the going to the living room. Why is it first left, then right? Even though I can see it on the left in the main hall?

I know right? This is exactly what was said was the new plan, not long back. People complained because the full tech update was taking way too long. DC broke the update into smaller chunks and now people are confused because its not all there. Like WTF, did IQ's drop sharply just lately or what?I've been playing this game from almost the very beginning and he's been saying back then (with everyone's suggestions) he was going to do this very same thing ,he's doing now ......... I just don't know why all the fuss when he is sticking to his words

old game was in 4x3 aspect ratio, now it is using a modern widescreen aspect ratio.

Ok, so, this is pretty wild. Seems like the tech update customized the way the engine stores the art assets to make it impossible to decompress them with unren
why bother making content when you can develop DRM.

The main thing was a complete rewrite of the scripting. The original version went through a handful of different coders who all did things differently. This led to a mess of spaghetti code that made it harder and harder to implement features. The new 'tech update' (now broken into separately released chunks) unifies the coding, making new systems, minigames and features much easier to integrate going forward.
It also changed the games aspect from 4:3 to 16:9, for people with widescreen monitors and people playing on handheld devices.

- The game has been rebooted
- The version is named 0.21.0, but it should be 0.1.0 because you have to start all over again
- There is no new content, only old and only Jenny and Debbie.
- You can't play without cheating at the beginning of the game, because you can't even make money.
- All the content that already existed before the tech-update will take at least 1 year, as DC has committed to reposting old scenes, routes and mechanics every 2 months (but in reality we all know it will take 2 to 4 years)

Precisely, almost everyone uses 16:9 screens or larger these days. The game needed that particular update.
people want "justice" which looks like whatever they want that to look like.
