is there any valid reason for this tech update take 6 years to do? isnt it just redesign how map looks and small ui fixes? or is it some cancer curing level update?

Essentially he said that in Debbies original story if you tried to get too far along with her Debbie she would try to stop it before they went further and then start up again to hit the next goal post. Essentially how her story is now incest or no. It sounds like in the new version Debbie gives in a lot easier and doesnt try to push the goal post back of where their relationship is. And I agree with Stray that sounds like a downgrade.

This really disappoints me. Do you know in what stream it was said and roughly where in that stream?

It was in todays stream at the 31:00 minute mark, essentially where DC was drawing Debbie's backside. It doesnt sound like a good sign to me when one of their own devs doesnt like how Debbie's story is changing.

No problem. I think ever since they changed Debbie from mom to landlady they are turning her from a landlady in name only to just a generic landlady that were trying to work around for years. They even said in the same stream that theres no point for Debbie to be a prom option if shes not the mom despite saying she would be earlier this year.

If that's really what they're doing, then that Day 1 scene where Tammy tells MC "You only have one Landlady!" is going to make way less sense.

I'm not as worried after listening to it. I'm willing to see how it plays out. What's said at around the 53 minute mark gives me a more positive opinion on it.

Im still going to be on the edge of caution. Theyve been prodded with Debbies ultimate status before and given inconsistent answers. Maybe its theyre getting too much attention from the eye of sauron at patreon. Im more worried from past streams where Sploosh would say "weve rewritten -insert scene- because it makes more sense now shes a landlady".

The whole 'landlady' thing can only get someone so far once the people at Patreon actually take a closer look, guess.

This is a patch that reverts back the relationship of the characters to how it was before the change in Patreon policy.

Why use this patch?
Much more comprehensive list of changes to dialogue. I checked almost every line of dialogue and made sure it flowed correctly. This is not just a simple name change for the characters, but whole blocks of lines are back to their 14.5 version of the game (the last version that has incest). New dialogue written for this tech update also were taken into consideration since DarkCookie is adding new story beats. I'll try to make the dialogue conform to their familial relationship as much as possible. I also modified the art asset to fit the new widescreen resolution of the game, and will continue doing so as needed.


What about other incest patches out there?
outdated and shouldn't be used. Lots of text bugs and not made for the latest pre-tech version.

is not compatible with my patch. It hasn't been updated in a while and all the changes that patch offers is also included in my patch.

Relation Tweaker Mod is not compatible with my patch. However, I recommend using this one instead if you want to customize the relationship between characters. This patch allows step relations or mixed step/incest relations. It works with the new tech update only.

Relation Tweaker Lewd+ is standalone and should work with any incest patch/mod. It works with the new tech update only.

sad to see that, she was my fav before. As long as they don't mess up with maria i am fine.

The short answer is no, and it probably should've been done some time ago, but poor planning, implementation, and an ever growing series of ideas to improve the game, have hampered progress. People need to stop looking at this game as something that's going to be finished, and look at it as a long term test of thoughts and ideas, that are slowly rolled out.

I say this even though I get repeatedly tagged as someone who's a "dick rider, defender, paid shill and bootlicker of DC", when I'm one of the few who just have the understanding that this isn't one of those one and done freebie games where it's just screw her, do her, fuck her.

Better to look elsewhere seeing as almost everyone here isn't paying for anything anyway, so don't invest any emotional effort into it, and you won't get burned by it not being done fast enough.

In the end, I think, you can't satisfy anyone. At least on here anyway. And that's certainly not an unique problem to Summertime Saga, either.
