To be fair, while "mini" was indeed never on the table, before 0.20 started it did sound like the whole update would be a bit larger compared to what we are used to and hence we'd get two smaller updates. Of course DC never said what excatly it would include, but to me it sounded more like he'd need ~6 months or so instead of 4 to 5 and thus we'd get get a split of 3 to 3,5 months for 0.20 and 0.20.5 each. Now it seems like it's going to take ~9 to 10 months combined and it's not that unreasonable to ask if people would have really voted for 9 to 10 month of main story (almost 12 months, if you include Consuela) if they could have had Ronda and Annie instead. I mean, unless there's a halloween/christmas surprise update we may only get 2 updates this year. Given that DC said he wanted to increase the number of updates that's certainly disappointing.

Hey all, figured I would share my installation order document here. I had it for myself so I could remember with each update, but I realized that others might get a use for it too! I expanded it to have more detail and (tried to) make it stupid-simple for someone with enough of a grasp of English to use this site to understand. If anything is unclear, please let me know. Aside from the Lewdpatch, this is for all 4 currently up-to-date mods for SS: Naughty Tribute, Lain, Hairy Saga, and the Extra Lines Incest mod.

I can't guarantee that it will always be kept up-to-date, but I'll try at keeping it that way! I hope y'all like it and hope it helps someone (maybe you!) from scouring through thread histories or posting the same comment about compatability.

I'm angry that others give him money? Where did you see that, i juat said that i find it funny that people give him 60k a month and he still needs 4-5 months per update. Take into consideration that some pay 20 or more per month, so basically they pay 240 dollars or more per year for 2 updates. Spend ypur money however you'd like, but i think that if he continues like this he'll lose fans.
And you said "you aren't giving him money", yes for 1 big reason, i don't think that he deserves it for being lazy with the updates, if he'a make an update every 2 months i'd pledge

It was never supposed to be a mini update if you actually went to his patreon page or watched his streams you would know that 0.20.5 was always meant to be a big update. And btw the reason why updates take so long now is because the patrons voted for that. He had a poll asking if people wanted smaller and more frequent updates or bigger updates and they voted for the bigger updates.
I don't understand why people are so concerned with what other people do with their money. He is not forcing anyone to pay him. Everyone knows that every big update takes 4 to 5 months, his patrons are ok with it. The only people I see complaining are non patrons.

As i said in my comment, if you support him and like what he uploads (because he does upload frequently on his patreon) that's fine, i just don't get how you can put up with waiting 4 months minimum for 1 update, i get that they voted for bigger updates, but for 2 montha more per update, there isnt that much more content. I dont support the creator so i dont really care about how long he takes, i'm just asking his patrons how they can put up with it

Indeed. I've been here for a couple years and I always saw people complaining he was gonna lose patrons along the way. Truth is he did not. If he delivers what people ask him to do, in the polls, i don't really see the problem.

I mean, most people will probably look at the actual content and not at the number of updates. I'd totally agree that he should have split the main story into 3 or even 4 updates, given that each update helps a lot in terms of popularity, free advertisements, etc., but it's not like that's going to influence the amount of total content.

Else I'm not sure why one would assume that those who aren't happy with what DC is doing would actually continue to pay. I for example didn't like what happened in the last months and canceled my, anyway just symbolic, pledge for now. I'll play the next update, see how the Ronda stuff is going and possibly repledge after that, if it's as good as one would expect it to be. It takes a few clicks and 5 seconds.

If people care so little about their money that they can't make these very minor adjustments, it's indeed mainly their fault.


Well, the team is at the current size for years now and there's no indication that it would grow. So it's not like DC is asking for more money to hire more people.

I personally don't think it's on patrons to force DC into growing his team to a level he isn't comfortable with. Those who think they don't get enough for their money should just stop pledging and play for free until they feel it's worth some money again. DC, unlike most other devs, totally gives you that option.

I totally agree with this... I don't care how much DC makes and don't care about how big his team is or how long its gonna take him to update the game. And especially I don't care if people who are supporting him are right or wrong. They have their reason to do so. And why is it so hard for people to understand that when the latest update is offered anyone can download it for free right through his patreon page, even after this if some are willingly paying him then how is he milking his Patreon. They are still supporting the DC and other artists to continue working on their thing. So cheap steak like me can enjoy it. I wholeheartedly thank people who selflessly do it or share it here.

in the end, the question is: Are his patrons happy with what they are getting and by supporting him? If its yea, then OK. But in the end, if you felt like I did at Team Nimbus, then they would have likely moved on by now...

If a dev is making money and not delivering to the level you want, don't support. It's an individual's choice how they spend money. Other individuals might not agree and want to raise a noise about it. Well, to be frank, that's irrelevant. To be even more frank, no one, least of all the dev, cares. I don't support this dev as I don't think it's good value. That's my opinion. Other's opinions vary. Neither is neccessarily correct, they're just opinions.
