Well, since people are mostly moron at this point, they'll always found something to bitch about, no wonder how small and dumb it is.
They probably gonna bitch about how GTA VII isn't announced like what, 1 year after GTA VI is released? Won't surprise me tho.

Actually a couple of new scenes. I don't remember the sexy dress make out session from the last stable built. And some old scenes are clearly framed differently, like MC wanking to Debbie being more of a CG scene instead of just a sprite scene. So from that pov there were updates.

It's crazy isn't it? For how much money and support he has he should have finished this game, and started and completed his second one, years ago and be working on his 3rd. Instead we're here. Paypigs gonna paypig, it's such a shame how they ruin so many great games/devs by enabling shitty behavior.

Yeah, you're right for that. Basically, I personally don't count same scenes framed differently as new scenes, but that's me.
I didn't play yesterday update because I will wait for a little more content before playing because right now, the remade is "meh" for me. Still waiting to see what more in store and can't wait to motorboat our fav big tiddy goth too.

UnRened both versions. WIP and the last old build. Main difference is, that they changed the folder structure and use more layered build images. There is almost no difference. When they want to add new stuff, do so. Most of the background images and probably the full cast is already in their "wip version art.rpa" and the "old versions images.rpa". Both similar in size and some images i checked, i can't see any differences.

You couldn't see that the non-layered images were all changed with artwork added to change them from 4:3 to 16:9 display ratio? But you also know that the tech update is more than just updating the images, right?
You don't have to play it all over again. First of all, not all the old content has migrated over to the preview of the tech update: Jenny content, some Debbie, some teachers, and a few other quick scenes. That's it.
Also, just like the old version - you can simply unlock the cookie jar CG gallery by clicking on the wi-fi symbol on the in-game cell phone enough times until it allows you into the menu to toggle the cookie jar on/off. No save required.

Haven't checked all images and I don't think that they manually one by one changed the aspect ratio of the images. Does this justify their "cleanup version" procedure? Like with every IT migration or system change in a company. You never cut the previous tool or program immediately. Shut down the previous version when the new version runs stable and exceeds the previous version. This process can take month's, even years.

Not like this is the only game on the website. I actually should ckeck how some of the others I haven't seen in a while are doing. Heard What A Legend got an update recently.

Yes, Dark Cookie did go back in manually and change every single one of the non-layered images - so the background images, custom sex scene images, other images - from 4:3 to 16:9. You could have gone and watched him draw along the two edges to add more artwork to each and every one during his many streams on Picarto. He didn't simply crop the old images, he added more art to fill out the display ratio (and updated some of the scenes, in the process).
As for the rest, I know what you are saying. I also know that Dark Cookie didn't want to do it that way. if he did, he would have done it that way.
The stable version is still out there and can be downloaded for people to play for free - directly from the official website.
It will be there until the preview version that is being updated is brought up to snuff with the content from the stable version (whenever or if ever it is). Again, can be downloaded for people to play for free - directly from the official website.
Instead of drawing art, writing code, and posing the layers for two different versions at the same time, thus doubling their work effort in doing so --- Dark Cookie chose to freeze the previous version as the "stable" version while they do whatever it is they do on the tech update.
Though, for 18 months (March 2021 to October 2022) they did kind of do just that. They added 40+ alternate and additional sex scenes to already sexed LI's over those 18 months with 6 different pre-tech updates. They had to do art in both display ratios, they had to code for both the old and new version, and posing had to be done for the layering in both the old and new display ratios. Then they said fuck it to focus whatever they were doing on the new version.
People can play the one they choose (or both, if they so choose).
