Should've included Jessie Rogers in the Augmented, still makes me sad thinking about those.
Ugh, it's like the Debbie, Jenny and forthcoming Eric updates: it has to be done, and everything will be better once it is, but most of the work will be behind the scenes. I think he should do it now, though. The MC will eventually have to be re-posed in every scene in the up-to-date storylines (obviously later storylines can be re-posed as they come), so the sooner this is done, the less re-posing will have to be done later.DC just said that he's thinking about adding a ~1 month 0.18.5 update once Jenny is done to move MC's art to the rig system and to make general improvements.
Time is always allowed for quality sir!Just chiming in for a quick note : the characters are being redrawn, yes, it takes time yes, but there's some very specific reasons as to why we're doing that.
First, art quality. We want to keep the game's overall graphics standards as high as possible.
Second, game size. Don't forget that we're building a game that can be installed on mobile devices. As it stands, the game is about 800 MB heavy. Not too much by PC standards, but huge for a mobile game. And a large part of the community is playing on mobile devices.
Third, future update speed. Redrawing and remaking character poses not only reduces the overall file size, but also increases flexibility. DC no longer has to make full body poses, just arms or facial expressions. That way, future updates won't require some poses, if they can be made with existing art. The downside is that it's an investment of time. Takes longer now for future benefits.
Red Dead Redemption 2I mean, just think about all the classic games that lost stuff due to rush finishing jobs.
Take Final Fantasy 7. They blocked off the rest of the ocean. We didnt get to revive aeris (he originally put tifa but wanted me to edit this so you don't know but now you do ) either. There was something else that was supposed to be big that got cut....dont remember what though.
Should edit that quote....i accidently put tifa instead of aeris. I edited my postRed Dead Redemption 2
Katerina Hartlova, one of the best.oT sorry: who's the girl in the first row, top left?

"Wrong acusations"... lmao.. YOu really do live in a wworld of fairy tales, dont you?You should watch his streams and ask questions about if the game will ever get incest content. Btw, stop making wrong accusations.
I think both are possible. If fans can patch it back in within a reasonable amount of time, DC and his team can certainly do it as well in even less time - of course only once the game is fully done and removed from patreon. Yes, a lot will depend on the reworks but at least in for example Diane's case the amount of work that's needed to properly adapt her story is small. A few new dialogs/poses and that's it.
I'm not sure about that. Right now it's clear that SS will stay on patreon and that the whole situation won't change for a long time. He can't and won't release a crippled game which doesn't make sense, so changes to adapt the new story had to happen. He simply hasn't got a choice but to move on right now. But that doesn't mean that dialogs and a few items can't be adapted later on. I mean, he's spending a way bigger amount of time on reworks right now and he was always willing to change things if he wanted it. So I don't see why it's "impossible" for him and his team to spend ~4 to 6 weeks at some point to create the "final version".
I dont know about how many dude. I dont follow their lives. I thought she was sexy. It was stated who she was. I looked her up. Saw a bunch of scenes available. Some were lesbian. Some werent. Was that a digital arts degree like mine that taught Photoshop and Illustrator or was MS Paint still all the rage 20 years ago? But I'm sure you're using that 20 year old degree to create digital works these days and not just sitting in a shed with your watercolours and easel, right?
No offense to you and your friend, but digital art is different from writing a book, or painting a masterpiece, or taking photographs, or creating a sculpture. These things are indeed fixed and unchangeable once they've been done, but digital art can be easily altered since all you have to do is re-open it in a software package. A game designer such as DC doesn't have to stick with the designs and art style they had when they started because the great benefit of digital art is that it can be improved as the artists skills improve. It's not uncommon these days for digital artists to go back and "remaster" their older works for this very reason.
The idea that an artist should never change their works is outdated when living in a digital age.
It has nothing to do with DC not being happy about his work, and it has nothing to do with money either. Read this and give it a rest already.I've been working with Adobe since Photoshop 5 or 5.5, I forget which exactly.
It's not any different. You can sit there tweaking any of them til the cows come home. Look at anything Da Vinci finished, there's tons of layers underneath it showing how he kept changing things. The guy finished like 14 things his entire career. All of them are only truly done when the artist stops working on them and artist can never be done. Never heard about this, but has DC ever set a hard deadline?
And I have no problem with going back and remastering, after a product is done. This not finishing and going back and changing the artwork, is only slowing down that finishing part. That's my issue with him doing this. He can do that til forever and it is done solely for his financial gain. It doesn't help deliver what he's supposed to those who are giving him money for a final product.
Was anyone begging for redesigns?
