Is that supposed to mean anything ? They added another 5 tasks on top of the 0.20.15 additions from 3 weeks ago. And we'll all be laughing when the bugfix line gets stuff in it and the total % plummets down to 50%
People expect more progress given how the game has been in development, as they are next somehow experts in the field. It can be 85% when the year is over for all I know, and I wouldn't mind that much.

It could be 99% and you'd still have to wait 6+ months
DC just said he has to turn all the animation (sex scene) background into 16:9. it means he hasn't done about those part. Even though sex secene background always been blur, but he still have over 200 background to widen up.

Where did you read/hear/see this? There's nothing in the general discord from him about this. There's no new post on Patreon. There's nothing in the news section of the website. He didn't stream on Picarto today.
Before you throw this thread up in a tizzy with a bunch of fanboys pulling their hair ... how about you share a link and/or a screenshot to back this up?

Fake junk aside and assuming there's some sort of truth behind this : DC doesn't do the animations himself. So him having to widen the backgrounds and send them to the 3rd party dude isn't a far fetched concept .....

Well, the other one is listed as v0.20.5 that came out in 2020. But yes, they are the same file. The only difference between the files is that one in the thread was renamed for awhile. There has been no new content that regards the characters whose relationships are adjusted by the patch since 2 years ago.
Someone may need to update the patch after the tech update in 2023 for any script revisions outside of the simple one-word find/replace.

I like how development of the narrative has completely frozen for two whole years (make no mistake, this tech update will take up all of 2023 at this rate) just to make this game widescreen to appease people who watch porn on their phone instead of on the computer like a normal person. Very nice.

In growing markets - people use their phone, not desktops/laptops for their digital needs including gaming.
With markets expanding, and expanding use of handheld devices in those markets (as well as in our established markets), it makes good business sense to design products to take advantage of the full screen space of those devices - 16:9.
