the fact is that DC still do the sex animation frame and the background all by himself, the other people (3rd party dude you called) compose all the frame together into animation, then DC would check it.

You are the one making claims with no proof. You posted that DC said he needed to do 200 backgrounds. Now you are posting that you are basing it on what you heard -- not what DC said. Yesterday, you posted originally that "DC just said" when he did not. Now you post it is from a stream 4 days ago.

That is almost nothing what you claimed you heard in your first post.

You said all that, not DC. What you posted were not facts. They were conjectures based upon what you thought you heard.

You talk about toxicity - spewing rumors is what builds toxicity because then people have to knock down the half-truths and lies when people don't do their due diligence to make sure they are only giving correct information instead of their own interpretation and misunderstanding.

It's one thing to post he planned to work on them (which is what he stated). It's completely another to post that he has 200 left to complete (which is what you posted).

I sort of agree with this statement as a player, but as a game developer - I'm a bit on the fence.
I've had to re-write poorly written game engines. It's a lot harder to untangle a knot than build it correctly the first time.

Chances are, the programmers may have had to start working on a new game engine altogether rather than try to fix or re-use the old one. That could take months when the game has been in development for almost 10+ years at this point. When you look at it from that perspective, 18 months is actually a pretty short amount of time to build a solid foundation for a project.

From what I understand they are also redoing some art related stuff too.

All of that part-time, as said above

And it's not "some" art, it's every background being ~1/3 wider, a bunch of new places (trucker bar/forest lodge/bowling alley/etc) with 2-3 variants for time of day + interiors/exteriors. There are none to hire. There might only be full time to hire. He might have already done that, actually, he probably did and it's why the tech update is here. He might have hired many until he found one that's trustworthy, committed, knows his stuff and doesn't mind waiting for others to finish their workload thus getting paid for part time work.
The amount of trouble porn devs have when hiring is several times higher than other jobs.
