Finished vs completed. At this point I'll say it'll never be completed. He has no incentive to complete all the stated project goals considering his patreon still makes a lot cash with his current output.
However, it'll be finished once he officially abandons it or isn't around to work on it anymore. Yes, I'm a pessimist at this point.

You can wait for the DC defenders, they will refute your statement saying that it will be updated by next year, which, according to themselves, said that the game would come out in April 2024. In the meantime, nothing better than watching their excuses and see them contradicting themselves. I'm going to enjoy the popcorn.

Yes. There just wasn't any new incest content so 20.12 still works.
Fairly certain by the time the tech update comes out real world tech will have developed to the point that AI will be capable of recreating this game in a few minutes.

he's never going to officially abandon the game. he makes lots of money and all he does is doodling a wallpaper on stream for 1 hour or so. he doesn't manage the team, if a poser drops out whatever, just hire a new part timer. the coder doesn't know what he's doing? who cares it just takes a wallpaper a month to keep the train rolling

Yeah, he will never officially abandon SS. He'll just up and disappear one day when the money well runs dry. As I have proven in my previous detailed comments with facts & figures, THE only thing DC cares about is money. Every time there's been a dip in income he's taken action to counter it and keep the paypigs in line.
SS is LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG past the time when paypigs paid for the game itself as that's not what they've been getting for their money for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time and if they would've been unhappy with the deal they would've stopped payments when DC's promises were broken 2x, 3x!, 5x!! times over but they are now in the 36th month of the TU allegedly being developed while the original promise was "3-4 months". That's the original promise broken 8x times over and there is absolutely no end in sight, no deadline, no direction, no reliable status report, paypigs are literally just throwing money into a bottomless pit. It's ridiculous to expect DC will just get off this gravy train of his own volition after he showed nothing but obscene gluttony for 3+ years.

So thinking of picking this up again, but I remember that each update would break the saves. Since it hasn't been updated in a long while, I assume I'm safe on that score... Right? Not getting into the conversation about if the creator is milking this game, has abandoned it or whatever.
