I mean, the dev actively works on the game on his livestream. I know hes basically a scam artist but you cant just say the game is abandoned when you have proof of hundreds of hours of work on his livestream.

funny how the art/animation hasn't evolved since 2017. It looks generic and the animations are basic 5 second loops split in between some dialogue. It just doesn't look good compared to most games now.

What games? As far as I'm aware Sts is still the gold standard in 2d porn game animation. There are games with better art (Eg. My Pig Princess, What a legend), but Sts' animations are generally still better than most, if not all, other 2d games.

I'm going to have to agree with this. Art styles aside, DC actually does mostly frame-by-frame animation. Most artists use puppet-rigged animation in their games that always look very flat and un-dynamic.

Because AI is for talentless people, and being lazy to learn how to draw shouldn't be rewarded. Or let me rephrase it: if DC is lazy, despite drawing all his shit himself, then what would someone be who doesn't even put in the minimum effort that DC does?
I'd say Aurelia has any other 2D game beat. But that, of course, depends on if you count pixel art like that as 2D.

i remember that this game was one of the best when it was released, the wait for new updates was overwhelming (while we only had a handful of good games as Fap_material), this game will leave its legacy in the memories of many.

I think "The Daily lives of my Countryside" has some pretty good animation.
The art in this game is still top tier, indeed that is why there are tons of people still paying.
The animation though? Ha!
