There's some other characters like the moms of certain school characters, characters who have a little content but need more, like the lifeguard and the nun, and there's also recently added characters that don't have any content yet.

So there are plenty of characters we haven't hooked up with. It's going to be very long before Summertime Saga is feature complete.

Who are Abby and Jane again? I completely forget lol. But yeah, I think Annie's mom was the one I was referring to.

Overhauling the game has taken them close to 3 years (?) and isn't going to be done anytime soon when it was supposed to only take ~4 months. DC has never been good at managing, in fact he's terrible at it and admits he just wants to draw.

Then why not hire a real project manager? From the impression I get here of his success he can probably afford to.

The struggle is self-evident. We're never gonna get anything other than isolated quests, at least with the characters that already have content.

Booo, I wouldn't let him off the hook that easily. Those existing characters are the ones people have known for years and have an attachment to. It hasn't even been that long for me and tbh remembering the girls from your list, I care much less about them in comparison to the ones we already got to know deeply.

I think you and a lot of other people on here underestimate just how ambitious the game really is. If were really that simple why aren't there more? Name 10 completed 2d sandbox adult visual novels of the same quality. Hell, name 5. Hell, name any.

StS is WAY better than all of those games, with the exception of maybe Katawa Shoujo, which doesn't meet all my required stipulations. I don't get where this new narrative that the game is actually trash has come from. The game is fine, in its highest moments it is one of the best games on the site. It just hasn't updated in 3 years. That is its only major problem.

I agree, but at the very least Snow Daze is a finished game as of now. I do remember when people complained about the game because they didn't have updates for a couple of months. Like, oh boy, lol.

Because the standards for what makes a good game has changed in 3 years with more games being completed and having far more content than STS does. You are crazy if you think 4 Elements Trainer isn't better than STS, let alone games like Town of Passion. You might think this is something subjective, but FET has far more content than STS does, likable characters despite being a parody, two different routes with each book, and good art in general.

Hell, FET started development AFTER STS and it's already finished and a better product than STS currently is. The game is definitively not a bad game, don't get me wrong, the issue here is that there are already far better games on this site that make a fraction of what this scam does, finished or not. That's pretty frustrating.

It isn't even an issue with Koikatsu being cheap or not, is that you can feel there isn't even a little bit of effort put into it. Some KK projects can look pretty good if you invest enough time in making them look good.
