Does this absolute moron is really going to drop updates at the last goddamn second on the last possible day? What is he, a clueless high school kid? Jesus fucking Christ, when he says Late January, I’d like to believe he means one of the last days, not the fucking last second. This guy is filthy rich and still can’t be bothered to hire three useless bastards to push the damn update a couple of days earlier so it doesn’t feel like I’m a teacher waiting for my dumbass students to turn in their late assignments on Google Drive

He's filthy rich, thats exactly why he couldn't give a shit. Cut his revenue by 80% and bro will get back on the treadmill like his life depended on it.

Finishes? As early as 2017, he's said there is no real "end" to Summertime Saga. There's always more to add.

Last fall he stated he would like to see 200, 300 NPCs for Anon to interact with. Just consider this "The Simpsons" of adult video games/VNs ...

Sadly I can't ignore/block the whole thread. Some news and view points of the game I get from this thread and also from people in it.

Lurker here, stumbled upon the thread by curiosity (only playing completed games).. wasn't aware that this was the case for this game, with infinite development.

Just wanted to say that I'm partially dissapointed/furious about the milking, while at the same time impressed about the Dev. He really found the cheatcode for eternal money. While others focus on multiple projects, multiple stories, new worlds etc and struggle to make a living out of this, this guy found 1 single project to put his kids (if any.. just an expression) through college and himself on a Bahamas vacation every month for the rest of his life.

PS: This is a personal opinion, but I can't stand games that overstay their welcome (and implicitly I can't understand people that fund them for years on end).. Even on "AAA" p0rn games with amazing graphics and plot, I get bored after 20-30 hours, or if I'm playing it daily for 3-4 hours in the evening, after 2 weeks of the same game I just start skipping and dreading playing it (yeah I know this character, I already slept with her 20 times in the last 3 days, I'm bored already.. oh a new character, nice but it sucks because she is uglier than the one I slept with 20 times... > you get the point)
But in the end, de gustibus non est disputandum... each to his own

So, this game started out as a great concept, and at first it was almost monthly updates of significant value. After a while, Dark Cookie became George R.R. Martin and said "The fans will buy what I tell them to buy" and is too big to fail. Like for a while there were certain health excuses or couldn't put in enough time because of his main job. I find it funny though because many times has the cash numbers from his Patreon show that it's bringing in nearly what, 80-200 grand a month? At 80 grand a month, that's nearly a million a year. At that kind of cash flow, he shouldn't have any other job, he should be doing 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week and be doing just fine. At the higher rate of pay, like 200 grand a month, he'd be closer to 2.2 million per year. And this game has been worked on since like 2016? I know he wasn't making all that money at the start but this is silly, the game has pulled in more cash than any AAA title by any company in existence, and is nowhere near complete... That's where I have my issues. I would pay for a full version, but not this endless in development from DC.

DarkCookie has become extremely lazy, no doubt about it. But man, you're soo damn off on that ' the game has pulled in more cash than any AAA title by any company in existence ' claim.

Any decently popular AAA or even AA game would clear this game's lifetime revenue in just pre-sales.

Okay, let's put it this way. There's a million times more work that goes into a AAA title, and more than 1 person working on said title. So do you think any developer in the world that works for a real company pulls in 80 grand a month? Likely not. So maybe my claim that more than any AAA title is a bit off. Either way, more than enough money has gone into this game's development that Dark Cookie doesn't deserve another penny until it is finished.

I'm stuck on Debbie's path. I did the chores for her up through the laundry and did the lotion scene. I tried to go into her room and take her underwear but the game won't let me - says I'm being creepy. It's true, but I am also following the walkthrough. What step am I missing?

Are you playing preview version v21.0.0-wip.5258 which doesn't currently have all the Debbie content migrated over to it from the older, stable version v0.20.16?

2-300 NPCs? Sounds impossible unless using random generated ones even half of them are doing meaningful interactions, not some one-liner.

No, it doesn't sound impossible... Daunting, yes. Yes, they will probably have a variety of depth... But right now there are already about 100 NPCs:

44 of which have at least one lewd Cookie Jar scene in v0.20.16.

Also, it only confirms that this won't be "finished" or "completed" for many many years.
