I used to adore this game.
Still sorta do, tbh. But, with the delays that the artist does every so often, plus the failed promises and the content becoming barely a drip when we used to get a torrent of it, I feel my love for Summertime Saga waning a lot. Especially with the new update basically being promised 5 years ago, but only coming out in chunks that don't even have a consistent schedule.
I miss the potential. I miss the story and well rounded characters with a well, handcrafted art style. Now, all I see is someone draining money monthly from his fans and not doing a thing about the lack of clarity with his community.

So I'm confused. Is the tech update just to redo Debbie's story ,and the other content gets re added after? Or is everything getting redone.
At this point i dont even bother to download the new version, just reply me how it looks the new x-ray and im over it

Debbie's rework wasn't even planned as part of the tech update. But it was a last minute decision (September 2024) to do while they were at it. The tech update progress has actually been on hold because of the work on Debbie's rework.

Yeah, and like someone said before in the thread, this game had already so much content, there's no point of remaking it all.Sadly it happens to most games (at least the ones i know) it's like the word remake, remaster or anything like that is a cursed
Would've been better to just create a new game, since we would need to wait years to get to content we already watched before.
Is there any content in this update or is it just a junk fucking changed absolutely nothing update?
Content wise, which would be the best version of the game to play? 20.16, or one of the pre-tech ones?

fr, the phase where he would put out an update, with 1-3 characters arc from start to finish per update was the golden era for me.
Now it's 1/3rd of a character's arc with a lot of repeated sprites in same time frame if not even worse.
Guy's i know you all want to rage be angry/annoyed etc, but honestly lets just instead of raging. Lets do something better with our time. Let us all just come back in 6-12 months in between from here. There will be enough content then for us to actually care.

Calling a spade a spade isn't raging. People are laughing and shaking their heads at how stupid this whole debacle is. Negativity isn't nice but it's justified sometimes.
then why even call out a spade if the spade isn going to react? do something more productive with your life like..
go and play another game untill certain time has passed etc like 6-months or a year that you feel like
lets check in on that brick game and see if they did something worthwhile yet. who knows you might actually be
up to a whole of slightly 1% satisfied beside being 199% unsatified.
Only 3 more years to go!
