The tech needed a fix, ok. But NO ONE asked for this remake of all art bullshit. The Old art was fine enough, finish the game, and THEN remake the art if you have the love for it.. this is such a BULLSHIT from DC and that people pay for this is behind my mind.

And that's the point in which you are wrong. Dark Cookie thought he could get away with Debbies old Art and replacing her Art at a later time after the Tech Update but he got such a backslash that he needed to change his mind and make the remake now. The Debbie Rework we get these Months were not planed, it got sneaked in after the backslash.

The People wanted consistent Art instead of different Art Styles during Gameplay. Since Debbie was obvious part of the main story before the Tech Update, we had both old and new art for her ingame and that triggered the players. So yes, in Debbies case, the Remake of her old Content was wished by the player base.

Without those "losers" you'd have nothing at all. Perhaps you should keep that in mind. Especially when you have, in the past, cried "I need a hero" when a new update is released by a developer on Patreon (maybe not a Summertime Saga release, but you have definitely said it on this site for games). Those "heroes" you need are the people you also call "losers." Hypocrisy at its finest.

I mean, I have never subscribed to any developers of games found on this site - but I'm not going to shit on the people who make it possible for me to take these games for free. Especially a game that is given to everyone for free directly from the developer, themselves.

No one is "paying" for this game. The game is 100% free from the developer's website. The subscribers (those "losers" you describe) receive other benefits for their money.

It probably won't be. There is no plan by the developer to finish it. It's "open ended" per their own admission in 2017 - as long as they have ideas, fans, and they enjoy what they are doing - they are going to keep doing it.

- the main game is finished since years with the end of the main story and consists in a solid 9/10 porn game with a unique art style, sex scenes well balanced between teasing and lewdness, good writing and a lot of humor.

- Tech Update is just the remaster that no one asked, released 15 years later... but instead of being announced 15 years later, it was announced right after the end of the game development, which a marketing $uicide.

- Rhonda+Annie+Judith stories are just extra free DLC, exclusive to the remaster, but they are, and will be totally avoidable to enjoy the actual game.



People here are mad about a guy that created one of the best game on this platform, just because he takes time to enjoy the result of his work. A lot of people here seem to forget that between 2016 and 2021, he consistently updated his game with fresh quality content. 5 years working on a porn game, when it was first a solo hobbie, that became his full time job, just for you to fap.

DC never forced anyone to give him money, his game is technically free for everyone, and ppl are still complaining about how slow it is. And to be fair, if there are still ppl who subscribe his Patreon for nothing new in years, then maybe their money is in better hands with DC, because he's clearly a smart man who has understood how to win decent amount of money as an artist without forcing anyone, without promoting his game, without being rude to anyone, and without burning out.


That being said, I'm frustrated like a lot of ppl here because there is no quicker progress on this tech update. And I can understand the disappointment because it was supposed to be 6 months 1year max, and we're almost 5 years for half an update. But on the other hand I never gave him a single penny despite having played this game for 30-40hrs overall. So where my legitimacy to blame him ?

I'm not especially defending him. I'm just saying that outside the jokes on the slowness of this update, people should not forget that the game is already finished, that there is no reason to get mad about him or the game on the enhanced version he promised so far, because it honestly doesn't interfere with the original release, and again : the game is free.

There is a proverb in my country, saying "don't look a gift horse in the mouth". If you're not giving DC a single cent since 2016, and if you're not one of the 33,153 patreons, then why are you complaining exactly ?

the old version of the game 0.20.16 has a ton of decent content. it's worth a playthrough if you really have nothing else but then you will be in the same boat like the rest of us.... if you want to keep waiting for the whole game to be updated you might run into the problem which we all face... time. our time will run out before this game is updated.

Woah, almost 10 years. Epic levels of milking. Respect. Was one of my favourite games when I first found f95 back in 2015 or so. Been so long since I play, maybe I'll take it for another spin.

play v0.20.16, the "stable" version, if you want the most content. v21.0.0-wip.6011 is a preview of the tech update and only has a small portion of the content migrated over at this time.

Just my thoughts on the game currents progression and the nature of Kompass Productions as a whole.

The last update I played was two months ago in April, after a pretty large hiatus. I remember stopping playing before the main quest was completed, so I never experienced the Asian bank lady or any of the completed Russian mob stuff. Still haven’t thanks to this method of chopping off our legs to slowly rebuild them an inch at a time.

But I jumped back in two months ago, hoping to see a crumb of my beloved Judith somewhere with something new (big sad). But I found myself, despite knowing how much content was now no longer present, enjoying what there was! I think the Debbit content is genuinely more enjoyable and I really like the slower build up for a taboo relationship. The highlight for me was the mutual masturbation scene on the carpet. Good shit, I’d say!

But now having gotten this new one, it just feels like… I mean people have said it, how reasonably can you expect people to think your full time job being this would produce this little amount in two months? They clearly have a talented team! And I don’t agree with the sentiment saying “well why would they want to cut their revenue source?” This stuff should be FUN to do for a living! Have a new game planned! Make actual games, it can’t be that hard! Being a porn game dev is the best thing to be, why not expand and make more of it! It’s not like this should be considered a one time golden goose!

It’s just disappointing.

I wish he just made a new game instead of a remaster like NLT Media has been doing. They finish a game, use the same art style/engine to create a new one with a fresh story. The 33,000 patreons he has are probably new people finding this game and just a handful of older subs. If he did make a new game, he can retain the old subs and still get new subs
