I think the creator of the game should start with another game because this one is already finished and you can't squeeze more out of it.
He can squeeze more and I doubt he will ever finish this one, they are not gonna take the risk of making a new IP because he has a lot to lose if a new product does not have the same popularity of summertime.

The patrons are the ones enabling his behavior and if this situation does not bother them, so be it, at least this thread helped me to decide not to support this project (I want my money to contribute to a project that is gonna be released like the ones made by NLT games)

And I want to be able to knock up Mia, the Library chick and Ivy but I doubt that is gonna happpen.
I see you too are a man of culture - and eternal disappointment.
For coding however, since every route can be done in between every other route, they have to code for every possibility in order to prevent route collision issues which is why the rewiring is taking so long.
Yeah see, this was a massive mistake. Collision could have been vastly reduced with a "hub and spokes" gameplay design. Basically divide the game into chapters which work like "hubs". Each chapter opens up "spokes" which are routes for specific girls which can be completed at any time. Say 3-4 girls per chapter / spokes per hub. Later chapters would unlock further girls. These spokes would therefore always happen after the earlier chapter's spokes. You could make some of them additionally dependent on finishing a previous girl's route if you wanted to have a threesome scene, or just make the threesome itself dependent on that. But by having each girl's route dependent on completing a certain main story chapter you could keep them segregated from each other and greatly reduce the number of potential collisions. The gameplay design would be a bit less sandboxy - ie., it would force the player to progress the main story if they wanted to get to any of the later-chapter girls - but this would be a fair tradeoff in exchange for, oh, say... NOT taking a decade to update

It's interesting you mention this, because this was supposed to be how he'd planned it originally. I'm not sure if this is still in the works, but the idea he'd laid on out a stream quite some time ago, was that when you started a single girls storyline, the other girls would be soft locked. You would've had the option to still date the other girls, but if you swapped, you then stopped progressing the story line of the previous girl.

And let's be real, if we could, we would all squeeze every drop of what he's making per month: somewhere between $77k - $220k... (according to Graphtreon)
Agreed.

Though I would tamper expectations whenever looking at Graphtreon's high-end estimates. Dark Cookie has never done better than ~ $3 per subscriber on average (when $$ were known) and hung around the $2.60 mark for the most part, dipping into the $2.20 range late last year.

Currently, DC is sitting at 33,193 paid subscribers (near the team's highest, ever, of 33,300-ish in Oct), so that's more like $73,000 to $99,000 per month. Most likely it's closer to $83,000.

Still, if it is over $81,000, it's the most the team has pulled in per month throughout its time on Patreon for 8+ years.

This game still brings back memories...I remember that it was probably my first patreon game and discord server I was active in. I met Sam there who introduced me to PhillyGames as a recco....the rest is history. Ultimately, mostly because of an obnoxious discord mod at the time, I left the server and spent my time elsewhere....talked to Sam about it and I would be back/active/subscribed when: 1) Annie content and 2) Save compatibility.......that was almost 6 years ago. Time flies. LOL

EDIT: Nvm, now just got the point of the rework...

Hey, I would like to know if anyone else had this bug. My mainstory does not continue anymore, it says more content in a future update. It stopped right before unlocking the pizza place. Does anyone have a fix?
I am already over day 100.

your playing the tech release (the old version of game is more complete) you are probably at the end of the content that was ported over to the tech release , its likely not a bu... go play the older version if you want to continue and no the save you made will not work you will have to start over...

ChatGPT gave me this break down:

Summary of Distribution
CategoryAmount (USD)
Gross Revenue83,000
Fees (Patreon + Processing)-8,300
Taxes-15,687
Operational Costs-5,000
Net Income for Salaries54,013
Lead Developer Salary-10,000
Other Team Salaries (9x)-44,013
Each team member might earn approximately $4,401/month, with the lead earning $10,000/month. Reinvestment, bonuses, or scaling costs could change this.

One other aspect that may be worth considering is that any team member based in the USA are also paying fed income taxes and in some cases may be paying state income taxes. I don't think the taxes collected off the top are the same or that they replace each persons own tax liability. I could be wrong on that.... It stands to reason that the take home pay is even less... Although still plenty adequate for what is essentially a part time job.

id be pretty stoked if i could earn 4k a month from just doing an hour of work a day.... at least that's what i gather from his 1 hour long streams. Not even "part time". Id do it full time considering the pace of these updates take 3 months anyway. Are we assuming that they are working 40h a week on Summertime saga? god no.

LOL 40 hours even though I am no expert in game making I would say if they were even putting in 20 hours a week the game should be a lot farther along in terms of the tech update. So yeah I have a hard time believing they have ever worked a reg 40 hour schedule maybe they have done a few marathons but averaged over time I would assume(yeah I know ass....) we are in the 8-15 hours a week. The only one I think probably works more is the coder generally iirc coders get paid by the line typically as a free lancer(info I gathered from a few coders many years ago things may not work the same now).
