Ha
Oh, right. I saw Halloween as the title of the event and thought it was Halloween Day, my bad . I've already asked Odette but no dialogue about the full moon or the next one or anything about the moon so far. I guess I'll have to wait and see
Thanks anyway

I assume you're playing v21.0.0
If you have any mods, patches, or packs installed - remove them and try to start the game again.
If that doesn't solve, delete entire game directory, download again, extract again and try to start the game again.

day 2,391 of waiting for this game to come out. that was the day i gave DC 1 dollar on patreon.
Good luck should you ask for your dollar back. Most likely it has already been spent on a candy bar. Hope you can sleep well knowing that your dollar was spent for a great cause. R.I.P dollar bill. You had a good life.

Why are my normie friends sharing this AHAHAAH
Because Summertime Saga is the most "mainstream" adult VN in the world. 10's of millions web search hits, including millions of video search hits, articles on mainstream video game website, and more. Easily over a quarter of a billion downloads during the past 8+ years, whether from the developer's site directly or any of the various "pirate" and sharing websites. One site has over 90 million downloads, alone.

Yeah but it doesn't even have anything to do with SS. Not even the people in the comments know except for one or two.
It's a damn literature page lmao

Again, Summertime Saga is so mainstream that its images and the like are easily found on the web. As such, even the people who don't play it see content from it - even considering the quarter billion downloads. I don't think you understand that because of the near ubiquity of the game that you're going to see stuff like this all the time. Someone that runs that account probably ran into that image in a or in an , a , a , a , a , or a tweet... or simply did an image search for "stand by grave weep" and it came up as one of their results and they thought it was apt. Or, heaven forbid, they play the game and thought the image is perfect for this poem. Do you think people who have degrees in English do not play adult video games? Including the instructors, professors, and the like?

The post you shared, in itself, shows that the game is about as mainstream as an adult video game can get.

650 million people have played Fortnite since it launched worldwide.
I still don't believe this quarter of a billion figure is reliable.
Adult games are still a niche genre. If so many people were actually playing SS, bigger budget Adult games would have emerged by now.

You can blame credit card companies and banks for being one of the big reasons Adult games haven't taken off. Digital banking and credit is how money moves in today's world and if the entities that control that don't allow you to use their services.... you don't get paid. Steam allowing some adult games is helping to bring more attention to adult games, but the banking behind it all is what is holding it back.

on one site alone, 90 million downloads. That's not even this site, where this thread has been opened 44 million times. If even 1 in 20 have downloaded, that's 2 million. If you want to know the other site, DM me --- or simply google.

Then you have the downloads from here, downloads from summertimesaga.com and then he myriad of other sharing and pirate sites.

yeah i mean why would the project lead have to take a look at the code during all those years at least once to see it's all shit? it's not like DC is responsible for the whole project or anything, you know just let dogeek do his thing until someday he suddenly finds out it's all been spaghetti code. woops. :HideThePain:
TBH, there's nothing to look into because the game was working well enough.

Remember mislabelling files doesn't break the game, it just makes it harder when you reorganize and update, which is exactly what ended up happening. They were expanding on the story and the things they wanted the game to do, and that meant going back into the games files. At that point, you're going to see things like "booger aids" that give no indication of what was in the file, and now you have to go back and relabel everything that eats up even more time.

That's bad management. Even if it's from a lack of understanding instead of just being lazy it's bad practices. The best case scenario we have is DC asked or looked at an overview and just didn't know what the hell he was looking at.
