I feel like having a shitton of characters with little to no content at all doesn't makes the game more interesting... Don't know about you, but I'd prefer a game with a few fleshed out characters with lots of content over a game that has dozens of cardboard stand-ins (whose names you won't even remember after closing the game) with two scenes and five minutes of a screen time.

If we calculate that 30 000+ supporters average 5-10$ per month... Well, I think that with that kind of money, it could be possible to continue development while another team is working on the upgrade. The game is very good and perfect even without the upgrade. I don't know why people are so stupid that they can't see what it's all about.

Dark Cookie is the problem here, he bloated the entire game beyond the capacity of what the engine could handle and he never bothered optimizing the code.
Purposefully keeping storylines half done, while expanding new threads for years so he could milk his foolish patrons for all they were worth.
This can be easily solved if incentives aligned, but what Dark Cookie wants, isn't what his idiot pay piggies want. So he has to hookwink them, you have to be regarded to believe his bs.

Huh. I'm kind of surprised.
Summertime Saga will always have a special place for me; it was the first adult game I played, past the flash games like MNF stuff, one that actually had continuity and a storyline. But it's been in 'development hell' for so long, I basically pulled my financial support from it, and moved on to playing other, more frequently updated, games.
I do hope this gets finished sometime. I still miss the Roxxy and Jenny storylines. But I've given up on seeing Cassie or the librarian get a storyline anytime in the foreseeable future.
