This is how NOT to rework games. Each update should be only moving forward. If you constantly rework scenes that were already part of the current reworked progress, people have to either replay the game for the 100th time or just watch the new scenes in the gallery which is an immersion killer.

Dude if just the tech update was finished before the 10 year anniversary of the game I would count that as a huge win. I don't think DC intends to actually finish the game. It's one of those games that will keep going for as long as people are willing to pay for it.

It's a pornographic point-and-click adventure game. "Complex" is hardly a requirement. The game has a massive following. More than enough that if he'd just complete the damned thing he'd have something to hang his hat on. Whatever his next project is would be "the new title from the maker of the hit game Summer Time Saga." He could actually build on being one of the few indie developers in this field that actually completed a game, let alone a massively popular one.

Why use this patch? ​
Much more comprehensive list of changes to dialogue. I checked almost every line of dialogue and made sure it flowed correctly. This is not just a simple name change for the characters, but whole blocks of lines are back to their 14.5 version of the game (the last version that has incest). New dialogue written for this tech update also were taken into consideration since DarkCookie is adding new story beats. I'll try to make the dialogue conform to their familial relationship as much as possible. I also modified the art asset to fit the new widescreen resolution of the game, and will continue doing so as needed.


What about other incest patches out there?

outdated and shouldn't be used. Lots of text bugs and not made for the latest pre-tech version.

is not compatible with my patch. It hasn't been updated in a while and all the changes that patch offers is also included in my patch.

Relation Tweaker Mod is not compatible with my patch. However, I recommend using this one instead if you want to customize the relationship between characters. This patch allows step relations or mixed step/incest relations. It works with the new tech update only.

Relation Tweaker Lewd+ is standalone and should work with any incest patch/mod. It works with the new tech update only.

Naughty Tribute Mod is not an incest patch, but a mod for the pre-tech version (0.20.16). There are some compatibility issues I haven't looked into yet. Someone in this thread uploaded a fix here, and while I haven’t personally tested it, you’re welcome to give it a try.


Installation:​
Pick only one version of the mod. Use the appropriate patch for the version of the game you're using.

That's actually the sad thing. DC found the easiest way to squeeze the money out of his patreon supporters. Why change the model on which he could earn money. I really guess that he's content as is, mediocre dev with a "never ending" project.

Strictly speaking, there's no value (to DC) in moving onto a new project, even with all the goodwill and reputation from being the SS guy. He'd be starting from scratch in terms of there being no h-scenes in-game, and unlike this tech-update-limbo, there'd be no pre-patch version of the game with a load of scenes he could point people to while they wait. Infinite redevelopment of SS is a much easier position to be in, in terms of handling the community/patron reception -- he has unlimited "work" to show progress for as he slowly re-adds old content, and if anyone complains about the lack of content people can just point them to 20.16.

He's kind of in the free-money sweet spot right now. Sure it's not his revenue peak, but (as shown) the situation where he was earning that much wasn't sustainable
