Why are you screenshotting GoFile? That's when it was uploaded to that site, not when it was released.
v0.20.9 was released 31 Mar 2021 - everything since that time has been time working on the tech update. Work on the tech update is over 4 years 7 months.

Would it kill them to make more random mom/son scenes and situations?
They have the resources to create infinite content and keep the audience engaged.
Just look at the artstyle, they don't even have to make it animated, it was fine as it was. The whole catch about the game is the simple artstlye to make you use your imagination through the story.
I literally came more from simple ahh art with a lot of buildup than over-animated stuff.

so can someone point me to this thread rules and regulations on what topics are allowed to be talked about, because theres nothing on the OP that gives a link find out whats okay to speak about and whats not for this spacific thread. It just says rule breaking topics which i didnt think there was any rule breaking topics on F95zone. I mean if they were actually listed or linked to what is not okay and what is, isntead of a vage explination of what seems a very personal attemp to not allow certian comments almost like dissabling our ability to comment on the topic of the thread which is summertime saga and its creators, story, gameplay, statistics, creation, develompment, ect.

Now I want to know, why did the game stop adding content about girls that nobody cares about to focus on the main characters' stories? Since the beginning of the game, I've wanted content about that girl who's always by the principal's side, and nothing. The sister of the goth girl...

so the girl you're talking about is annie (by the principals side) and eve (goth) they are not related in fact eve has an older sister and the sisters girlfriend

and it didn't stop adding content the dev just decided to focus more on the major tech update and then work on adding even more content after that, the full story is completed within the pre tech update it's just after the tech update more content is being planned to release

The stable version you can download directly from the developer's website, it's v0.20.16. You can also download it from the links in first post in this thread. It is no longer being worked upon.

The preview version is the work-in-progress of the next update, the tech update, and is being slowly released with additional content and tweaks every 2 months. It's v21.0.0-wip.xxxx (currently wip.6440). It's going to be a very long time until it is has all the previous content migrated into it.

I played this game about six years ago, but I dropped it because the story was already at a dead end and we were just waiting for new updates. I know the dev ran into issues and decided to "rework" the game. But please tell me, does the game actually have a lot of new content now compared to six years ago, or is it still pretty limited because of that rework?

Depends on your definition/perspective of "a lot". I wouldn't worry too much, the game has been in development from when one of my kids was in middle school. Now that same kid has graduated college, gotten married, and now I have a grandson, and it's still nowhere near complete (10 or so years of development).

So, I'm sure if it takes too long for you, just make sure you keep your save file, so your offspring can pick up where you left off once they're old enough Can even become a family heirloom of sorts.
