You know guys I get that you are upset about the fact Patreon has taken a stance about incest related content but realistically since Patreon is based out of San Francisco California it sort of makes sense. In the state they are based out of any sexual content between ANY BLOOD RELATIVE (Aunts , uncles , cousins , brothers , sisters , mothers , fathers and half brother / Sisters) Is illegal in California. California also has laws regarding internet Pornography so its possible if not likely that explicit incest falls under the same bracket of being illegal on the internet as it does you actually engaging in the act IE: Creating material which directly shows acts of incest being illegal in California.
The blanket of what does and doesn't Violate Internet Pornography Laws within that state is a bit hazy from what I can find so do not take this as word of law but a theortical reason for why Patreon takes such a hard stance against incest related content.
At the end of the day Patreon is a business they need to make money and as they are based in the USA they are bound to the laws and regulations given to them by the government. You shouldn't just say "Fuck Patreon" for doing what is required for it to not be shut down or questioned as to why they are openly funding what may very well be deemed illegal in the state.
On a unrelated note you do have to understand that the only way Patreon will be abandoned is that there is a better option that arrives offering a larger amount or at least similar amount of crowd recognition and funding while taking a smaller percentage of the cut from the funds earned.

Might just want to settle in. The same thing happened in the Dating My Daughter thread. The same arguments, the same solutions, the same questions, the same answers for over a month....and it still continues.....
As disappointed as I am about the net result of all this, I can honestly say I'm surprised they made it this far. Patreon had been on the war path for awhile now, so no one should be surprised.
My hope is that with all the support for this project, DC pushes forward. The internet is a vast place and at the end of the day, this hurdle isn't anything a little investment or ingenuity can't solve.
Personally, if I were him I would have been working on plan B months ago during the first round of reviews. And as a Dev, our team is already considering our alternatives even though we aren't currently running afoul of Patreon's policies.
But we're waiting for the day they shut down all adult devs, in which case, we hope to have some kind of seamless transition in place before that day comes.
I'm not religious in any fashion, but you gotta build the ark before the storm.

ya step is still considered incest so wouldn't matter and erik and his mom stuff will likely just be cut leaving the get him a girlfriend ark

MC's Mother and Father where killed
Debbie and aunt are now the MC's Mothers childhood friends who remained close into adulthood so the MC has know them his whole life so there almost like family
I dont know how much older Jenny is then the MC but it could easily be the brat she use to babysit or just the younger kid she was forced to play with
After parents die Debbie lets you stay with her this means the MC will feel indebted to her so still wants to help her around the house
Jenny and Aunt routes still works for the most part not much needs to be changed here mostly contexted maybe the MC always had a crush on Jenny or something
Erik and his mothers content pretty much has to be scrapped leaving only the mission of you getting Erik a girlfriend maybe someone else has an idea to save it but i dont that dosnt come off as forced

Yeah.. But, what if, "one member who was responsible for incest content was fired"? That guy could say "DC fired me, but i will keep unoffical patches by myself, out of patreon, here is my "donate" button.. They could still be a team behind the fog, DC could still pay him, they could make patch together but he would be the one who release patch.
So, DC wouldn't violate any rule since he would seen as "the guy who removed incest content, and fired other employee who was reponsible with incest content".
And the fired employee would be seen as "an angry old-employee who tries to earn his life", out of DC.
What patreon could do? Nothing.

Isn't the whole point to lewdpatcher to do that without tying yourself to it in a way that they can prove a valid link? Lewdlab practically flaunts the fact, and it is growing in popularity. I remember when it only had, 1-2 games max, there's over 11 now, even ICSTOR is using it now.

Complaining at the very least is discussion. The latter is people wanting specific discussions to stop because they don't like to hear it.
In this case the discussion is very much relevant. The whole Patreon thing is the most relevant aspect of the game as of right NOW, when people come to a discussion forum think of how silly it is to tell them not to discuss something highly relevant because you don't like it. Also before anyone mentions the idea of a discussions quality, that can apply to anything, people only apply to what they don't like to hear.
I can't really say what the best idea is. In the long run finding an alternative payment method may be the best idea but at the same time the whole project could fall apart.
