Yeah but the creator can't use patreon money to finance an incest project, theorically you can link to your page, twitter... however the incest, rape... content if it's linked with you then you will get banned.

Another thing is that the "complete version" appears on the internet with rape, incest... however the creator isn't linked directly, like posting on a forum under another name and never admitting that it's his work.

i dont think they can ban you for doing porn or incestgames or whatever if your patreon is for something else

this is the only section in the community guidelines i found that references offsite stuff that isnt terrorism or hategroups and it doesnt prohibit porn production and whatnot. everything in the terms of use seems to be about the law aswell, also stuff like blocking usernames and data mining but not really relevant here


So he could make his patreon for producing adult artwork of his OCs and just do summertimesaga as a "side project" (keys for the filehost go to ppl who pledge for art via mail, he post like one pice of art a month on patreon, rest goes thru his site )

and/or he could maybe just put a disclaimer up ( that none of his caracters are bloodrelated and eric and the main character are adopted) and rewrite the beginning. the maincharacter calling other caracters "aunt" "sister" "dad" or whatever shouldn't be a problem then, they are to be seen as actors and in context.
this seems to have worked for atleast one other creators who had to remove beastiality from their game because patreon afaik (atleast it works atm who knows whats coming)

Hmm they say it's untested so it's not yet trusted. I could be wrong about thus but I think DMD is using it now on their home page theres a way to "Buy them a cup of coffee" which adult pledge uses to donate. So if they are doing well with DMD maybe others will start trusting them

Well, that's a slightly different case though since MrDots is focussing on his new game now as main source of income which is still on patreon and nobody really knows what's going to happen to DmD. So yes, you may be able to pay for a coffee/DMD on adultpledge but it's no way of actually funding it right now.

The analogy would be for DC to basically stop developing Summertimesaga and start a new game on patreon and then putting SS on adultpledge to see what happens. But I think we can agree that's not what most of us want.

Patreon guidelines and status update!

I'm sure you've all noticed our account has been temporarily suspended since last week due to some Patreon guidelines being reviewed and I would like to thank all of those who've sent us messages of support.
Patreon contacted us asking for some changes to our ingame content to better suit their new guidelines (which have to be made for our next release). It's something we have no control over, and are sorry we had to change some of our creative vision. We will not be hosting any downloads of our game until this patch is implemented.

We were aware that our project could be hit by those guidelines so we were always prepared to make those changes but it did come at a bad time while trying to finish the next update (0.15). We've already begun work on the Patreon patch that will come out with 0.15 in the near future.

As for the actual changes we have to make to our game, they are mostly dialogue and context based. The overall content and CG/art will not be affected.

Despite all of this, SS will not be cancelled and will remain on the Patreon platform for the time being, under the new guidelines. We will continue to create new content for SS, improve the game and work towards finishing this project.

Not for now, no. DC doesn't want to do those bits of work twice since after all the story would likely be different and dialog still requires posing etc. So yes, he could do them, as he said, but not for now and things like the cult etc. will get priority (what excatly will of course be up to the patreon vote).

He said on stream a while ago that he might just add the content when the game is finished and move on to another project. So maybe we wont be getting any new incest at all.

According to California Law "stepshit" as you call it isn't actually illegal just so you are aware. A few pages ago I list what constituted incest as defined by California laws, if you are wondering why I used California laws specifically because its based there and for all intents and purposes in some states you can fuck your family members as long as you don't make babies because reasons.... fuck if I know America has some weird laws on a state by state basis.
