Just here to see what people thought about the Update and it was pretty much what i expected.
Disappointed that he couldn't finish her route yet, but whatever, i'll just wait for next update and see.
I would also like to drop a like to the haters or people with a DC vendetta for keeping this Thread going, you guys are doing Gods work.

I'll probably drop by next update and repeat the process , unless MH:Wilds keeps me really busy

This is pretty much true.

The tech update was going to happen. It needed to happen because the coding (not RenPy - but the coding for Summertime Saga to run in RenPy) was frankensteined barely holding together. Like Scotty said in Star Trek "She can't take much more, Cap'n!"

The last choice for subscribers to vote on was which was to come first:
Rhonda update, or
Tech update

Had anyone actually figured it would take anywhere near this long, they probably would have voted for Rhonda.
Ether way, we'd be right where we are now. Just with a Rhonda update before it.

In hindsight the best choice would have been to wrap up this game with that frankensteined code
I am sure they could have made it work long enough for that.
Then start on a sequel, I am struggling to see the 3-6 years effort is worth it. They could have wrapped up the game in a satisfying way by now.
This is some of the worse project management I have ever seen.

They literally had that conversation - and no. With the state of the code that it was in, they could not put more shit into it without it falling apart. They could not complete the dance goal with the old code. So, no.

Well, seeing as their subscriber numbers are growing, and haven't really ever tanked --- your vision appears to be as short-sighted as DC's with his ability to project manage.

DC said at some point that act1 was already completed. so the obvious thing should have been to finish, and from there start with act 2. With the necessary updates not the mess it is now. Going from a bad coder to an exceptionally slow one is not exactly good management.

That he will never finish the project is less of a concern, I see it more like your favorite show on Netflix. As long as it is successful, there will be new episodes. He just uses a foundation to tell different stories, scenarios and their context. And as I said, the first story is already (probably) finished.

Exactly.

There is a current trend by developers that are creating these titles in a similar manner as episodic series as seen on TV/Cable/Netflix -- as long as there is enough audience interest and as long as the production team has the drive to keep developing, it is not inconceivable that a number of the titles could end up with 20+ years of content.

One of the problems DC is also having that he either doesn't seem to realize or hasn't figured out how to fix in a timely manner, is the fact that he's not reintegrating already finished work efficiently. AFAIK, there are even scenes that were finished from Debbie's last update that are missing from the current one. One of those examples is the sex scene in the kitchen.

Then you have other completed scenes like the threesome from Debbie and Diane from her storyline, plus the entire storyline of Eve, the storylines from Tony and Maria tied to the main story, the majority of Roxxy's story that includes the Becca update. I'm sure there's more but you get the point.

All of this makes it look like he's not getting the work done when there's so much locked away.

Incest Patch for the latest update (WIP 5605) and the Pre-Tech Version (0.20.16)

This is a patch that reverts back the relationship of the characters to how it was before the change in Patreon policy.

Why use this patch?
Much more comprehensive list of changes to dialogue. I checked almost every line of dialogue and made sure it flowed correctly. This is not just a simple name change for the characters, but whole blocks of lines are back to their 14.5 version of the game (the last version that has incest). New dialogue written for this tech update also were taken into consideration since DarkCookie is adding new story beats. I'll try to make the dialogue conform to their familial relationship as much as possible. I also modified the art asset to fit the new widescreen resolution of the game, and will continue doing so as needed.


What about other incest patches out there?
outdated and shouldn't be used. Lots of text bugs and not made for the latest pre-tech version.

is not compatible with my patch. It hasn't been updated in a while and all the changes that patch offers is also included in my patch.

Relation Tweaker Mod is not compatible with my patch. However, I recommend using this one instead if you want to customize the relationship between characters. This patch allows step relations or mixed step/incest relations. It works with the new tech update only.

Relation Tweaker Lewd+ is standalone and should work with any incest patch/mod. It works with the new tech update only.

No, the scenario you mentioned now is the "he don't care" Scenario.
How many times do you need to be reminded? The Code from the old Version is just a buggy mess, it was highly time to make the Tech Update. Every new Content Update made the Situation worse. It's NOT a Renpy Problem, the Problem was that one of the OLD Coders was an Idiot and messed this Game up big.

Your Suggestion here would have made the situation even more worse.

No, no and no..read back a few if you want specifics. Art/coding being improved - most of the content has been removed...to be added every 2(ish) months for the long foreseeable future.
