1. Buy the model ( this is the least many artist want to, because one model can around 5 -35 dollars depend on the low or high poly)
2. Share model ( many of this are well known artist such as ice dev and 26region share their model for free for some tag name for their model use)
3. Loverslab (there is bounc of free models and paid models in this web site)
4. Morphing and sculpting ( this is one of the most hardest thing that artist want to do because they maybe create a better model for themself, but the proses is time consuming. For example sumthindifrnt, 26region, sfm DH is many artist that use morphing on their models, make bigger tits,ass, and more sexy body.
5. Cross software ( I don't particularly know about this so correct me if I'm wrong. This like "oh no I cannot find Lulu ff blender model in many websites" then artist using sfm or other software that have that Lulu model on it convert it to blender. Like I said I don't really know about this but some artist using this method )
6. Take it from model of the game it self ( this is the most hardest and time consuming to get the model for 3d animated based on game models. Basically you take the model from game file code it so that you can animated it on 3d software. Very hard things to do but you get the most realistic close to original model from the game itself )
7. Create the model ( gosh, you need like good computer, great knowledge of body proportion and definitely good experience of design and sculpting. Because you create the models from scratch. )
I think that all I'm not an expert in this just share my though if you guys have more info or better explanation please share with us. I still learning about 3d animation though I'm more focusing on vfx so I'm sorry if I have many error in here and there
There is actually many ways. But correct me if I'm wrong. There is some ways you can get model for sfm, blender and others.Where do sumthindifrnt and g_b find their female models? Especially g_b? Is it very tightly controlled group of people who have access to these models?
