Here is a little short about a lucky goblin and a little update gif of some scenes I've been tweaking and preparing for final render.

His story telling has become shit.
A woman just walks up to a goblin and has sex with it? Where is her doubt? Where is her sense of shame? What are the circumstances that lead up to this? Where's the taboo? They don't even try to hide, they just fuck right where they meet? Give me a break. Is she married? Does she have a boyfriend? Does she feel like she might regret this? Does she get pregnant? Where's her sense of reluctance or needing to be in a hurry at the risk of getting caught? Or actually getting caught.
Sum used to explore these things and it seems like he just forgot or doesn't care and it's a shame. Yawn, boring.
I keep hoping he will go back to his roots but I'm disappointed every time
The animations and angles have always been great to me and I like how he's progressing with it, it truly is remarkable work. But it's all for nothing if there's no good story to go with it.

I agree with everything you said, but Sum's shorts never had the capacity to explore anything. From the beggining (2016) he's been using shorts to either work on a small idea or just show how his animation skills are faring. Shorts are either animation from the get go with sex that you have to give context to, or a very simple story that might as well be omitted (like Hannah's Holiday). The only short that kinda sorta did well with story (IMO) is Pizza 4 Tifa, but I remember some comments saying story was long and pointless while animation was quite lacking (which it was).
Sum's long project do go somewhere interesting with story. And in the past year all we've really had are shorts showing Sum's practice with Blender. Considering all the time he has taken for tweaking, I do hope there won't be any problems with his new long project, regarding animation or story.
