Why would they say that? Blender isn't the reason for his animations going to shit and SFM wasn't the reason for them being good. Blaming blender is like blaming the paintbrush when a professional painter starts doing a poor job. You don't blame the tools of the craft you blame the craftman. Sumthindifrnt is bad at animation, he's bad at composition, sound design, writing, and if he does any 3D modelling he's bad at that too. His early work feels better than his new stuff because of the time they came out in. In the time since all of his peers have either left the market because they couldn't keep up or have greatly surpassed him in skill. He had a good idea one time and all of the bad traits that he is associated with were all present in The Neighbor's Wife y'all just didn't notice because you were distracted by Elizabeth's tits and the halfway decent performance from her voice actress.

tldr; Sumthndifrnt has never been good at this. He's always been bad, he just stumbled on a good idea a long time ago and he's never bothered to keep up with industry he's a part of.

That's an interesting perspective. I do agree that you cannot really blame the tool in these cases. Some people can make magic out of the most basic tools and others can make a complete dumpster fire out of the most advanced tools. You see this especially with VaM (Don't get me started on these VaM "Artist")

I thought his SFM stuff was unique. But he simply was better at that then he was at Blender. He never improved on his craft...maybe thinking Blender would just do everything for him.
