I am playing through this game from the beginning and seeing how the story ends up in this thread makes me want to drop it. I just wanted a game where you play as a college dude with shapeshifting powers who gets to fuck hot girls.
The plot is getting way too convoluted and I feel like it's all going off the rails; this is all too heavy for what should be a porn game.

A lot of the "lore" is completely inconsequential to the story. The plot is actually very plot is actually pretty straightforward

Yeah, I get you. Personally, I enjoy the direction the game has taken, but it certainly has traveled very far from the initial wacky college hijinks. I was pretty surprised when I first played it and got to the frat house fight and realized "oh shit, are we doing a dark hero thing?". It's a swerve into a whole other genre, and if that's not what you're into, I don't blame you for feeling left behind by it. I hope you find another game you enjoy more.
This is highly debatable.
We could have a 900 pages of posts replying to each others about what is a porn game and what is a game that has porn elements but isn’t a porn game, use it to question whether high amount of plots deserve to exist in each category…
But in the end all that really matter is, Superhuman is in the category of games you won’t like if you don’t like lore (shout out to The Last Sovereign, and it’s poll about how many players skip sex scene to go back to min max)
I don't know even in the earliest updates you still get stuff that still isn't 100% clear to us now like the dead end with the 7th, or the earliest info about the apostles then stuff like deryl not being able to look MC in eye when he asks if Jake getting bullied brings back memories clearly shows that he had tons of "not fucking hot girls with biiiiiiig dick" planned.
I'm sure anything beyond the mafia arc is "too much" for them. Think of how many clicks they have to do to see the boob! And even make choices that can kill u?!?!? How can mc fuck all the hot girls if he ded?

Never said I didn't like it I just wish there was less heavy narrative and more superhero fucking hot college girls. The story just kinda goes nuts and I am still pretty early in the game by the looks of it, I shouldn't have to read a novella between sex scenes. It feels like the dev wants to make a dark superhero comic book more than a porn game.
