Public release is 1 week after beta with the bugs ironed out. But since the beta was yesterday the public release is 1 update behind at the moment.

Nah its fine. Sometimes there has been some pretty annoying bugs but this release only has some spelling errors.
I don't think he would do that till he completely finishes this game cause if the next update is 1.0 this game would feel incredibly incomplete if there was no sequel
Damn lot of lore and more world-building on this update. Wonder if the dev would make a part 2 or just continue onwards till its fully complete
Well we don't know but knowing the character he'd probably stay to become stronger for his friends as much of this update was focus on the character growth of the supporting characters such as Alice, Liz and Amber for example and especially Michael it seems
Not to mention the financial side as well. WW makes a decent living as I understand from Superhuman but I´m thinking most of those Patreons are there for the superhuman world not necessarily for whatever he cooks up next. If he completes the story I´d think many people will keep going for the next thing but if he just leaves us hanging for 5 years while doing other stuff I think it would leave a very bad taste in many peoples mouths. Also assuming the info that he will put 1.0 on steam is correct and it manages to get new people into this wonderful story I´m thinking they would want the rest of the saga as well.

You've misunderstood.
Level 3 removing the power capacity cap refers to the power stat. Michael's physical strength isn't going to increase in accordance to the amount of energy he absorbs, only with the growth of his power.
Remember that Power and life energy is the same for monsters and superhumans?
If you run out you die?
There is a good chance, especially by Michael's descriptions of how absorbing power feels physically, that Michael actually gets a temporary boost in physical strength from absorbing the lingering life energy of monsters.
Also Michael was essentially flying in his first evolution already. He's going to come back.
And then he'll murder the monster world. Likely literally.

I don't know... The way he was talking about his inability to connect to others felt like admitting defeat to me, it felt like he was ready to move on to something else. That was the feeling I got from the dialogue anyway, it could go either way next update.
True, I forgot about that. Went back to check the scene where he talks about his power and it seem that his energy storage, as well as his output, is dependent on his current power, not his total capacity. The scene in question is when he was still a level 1, so things could have changed since then. But if it does remain the same, then it balances him out more.

Ok soooo, i spend a few days trying to resist my crippling superhuman addiction after checking the thread every hour for days.
Just to foolishly develop a NEW crippling addiction after making the terrible mistake of asking chat gpt to be a game master of an RPG campaign, and now the RESUME of the story is so big that everytime I ask it to continue I have to send it in five separate pieces

I hope so, but we'll see. Do you think the choice with the machine in this update or anything will effect it, or he'll just live either way.

He might keep going past 1.0, or we might get a squeal or spin off at some point, I don't know of course.
This said the last 2 major updates felt dragging pace wise, like I enjoyed them but they weren't really needed, makes me thing the ending will be quick, like as soon as the group comes back they get like 1-2 weeks before the world ends type deal.
Would love to know if any word was given onto there being a 1.1 or a squeal.
I know I'll stick around even if he goes off and makes a different game in a different setting.

From what I've seen in the older posts, WW intends to either make a Superhuman 2 or to just continue the story past 1.0.
I've also read that there might not even be a different game between the two Superhuman games if they go that route.
