im probably reading too much into coincidences, but all the "tree of life" imagery in the monster world has me afraid that Ella turned him into a super special tree that for some reason we're going to have to leave alone
Nico has one of those powers that's seemingly reliant on her outside environment to cause damage instead of inner power like most superhumans. Lisa Corven mentioned that Nico is actually weak as far as monster power goes if my memory serves right. Nico's one of those superpowered individuals that starts off being able to do more damage than her similarly skilled and powered peers who will eventually get eclipsed by those with a destructive enough power such as Malik, or Gunvald. Over time against ever-improving adversaries, Nico's power is destined to become less and less of a threat and more of a utility power like Clark. Level Fours and Five can have powers that defy the laws of nature, physics, and perhaps the planes and metaphysics.
At a certain point, she will run out of places to teleport people or summon to people that can damage her target enough to kill them. She already showed immense difficulty fighting Ella and Ella's power isn't even made for DPSing(Damage Per Second). Against someone like Gunvald, or Malik, she would likely die trying to kill them or have to quit and run. So Nico as a DPSer in the future is over.
Power and skill adjusted to being equal with Nico's, Indra would pwn her. Glae would pwn her. Valravn would pwn her. Syla would've pwned her. Light's chosen would've pwned her. Destruction's chosen might even be able to absorb whatever she threw at them. Time's chosen would probably stalemate. Space's chosen could probably cut off her portals or teleport her there instead. Ella might've won in a 1v1 with her. Creation would have a problem with her, I think. Authority would.......bro.
Authority would pwn nearly everyone so I'm not even gonna say because it just isn't fair. But afterwards, Authority.....would dominate and enslave her, make her his personal chauffeur and courier like the Aos' people do to Hexenringes. A correctly trained and focused Danica has far more potential than Nico for DPSing. A perfected Danica actually has the most DPS for a single target in a short period of time period shown so far. Elijah has probably the best DPS for a single attack action so far.It is explicitly easy to make a variant of it, as shown by MC's second evolution.

We have no idea how many they've made, we know they don't hand them out like candy, we know they want to limit them to certain key evolution points.
Bramon himself said he only bothers to personally involved with Superhumans of a certain level, making exceptions for the MC's adventuring party because of how uniquely powerful or useful they where.
It seems to make the most sense they require Bramon himself and that other things are just a higher priority than bolstering your average level 1 or 2.
I don't know, has she ever put two of her portals into one another? She seems so sure of herself that I doubt she experiments much with what merging two points in spacetime can potentially do, especially if you manage to apply some additional pressure in the form of Monster Energy,
