There's five new gallery scenes.
I've been playing for around like, ~6 hours or so, so pretty big in my opinion, there's a bunch of new lore and worldbuilding so it also doesn't just feel like filler.

I didn't see anything about the mark in this update, so removing it yourself would be better with the information we have available currently.
