My thing about it was that he claimed that we were lucky that he missed when in reality, he never intended to hit us. In both scenarios, he claimed that the MC was definitely his first target but he somehow hits Laurie. That's why I said it meant one of two things. Either his aim was actually trash and he somehow hit Laurie in the neck. Or, he was actually scared to attack the MC but pretended like he was always the target when that wasn't the case. The MC is huge compared to the others, the chance of you missing him but hitting the smaller target in Laurie is slim to none, especially since he hit him the 2nd time around.

The only time he has the courage to actually attack the MC is after we used our power to fix Laurie. If Laurie dies, he does nothing afterwards but trash talks. The MC isn't the weakest amongst Laurie, Deryl and Alice. So after hitting Laurie, why would he suddenly attack the MC and not Alice, for example? She's the 2nd weakest there. That's why I think he never intended to attack the MC first and only tried it when he thought he used up his power. Because, without us saving Laurie, he doesn't dare try to attack anymore.

Me personally, I think Jared's suffering from PTSD because of all the bullying the MC did to him. Like you said, his goal was probably to target the weak links of the group but he's boasting about how we're lucky he missed when he probably was scared to attack the MC in the first place.

I'm honestly not worried about him, personally. I feel like it would go against the established rules for us to worry about a Level 1 to Level 2 at most character. We're Level 3 now, we have that power. I don't think it should be trivialized by weaker characters being the exception to the rule. The gap has been fully formed and he should be insignificant to us. That's not being cocky or arrogant. That's being realistic about the growth we had and the gap that's been solidified by crossing that huge threshold. So unless he brute forced his way to level 3 somehow, the MC shouldn't really have to worry about him, in my opinion.

I really don't think it's all that deep personally, but it's a nice outlook on the situation with the whole PTSD thing, never even considered that myself. Though my take away from the Laurie Jared situation was that Jared just SAID he missed for the sake of playing an "oopsie I killed your friend instead" card. I'd wager he DID have PTSD only BEFORE he got powers due to the Jake abuse and our own. But now that he DOES have powers I think he felt overly confident trying to taunt us cause he knew Charlie and Cole were backing him. Laurie dies, cool; no reason for him to push getting further under your skin (i.e doesn't attack), but if Laurie lives suddenly things aren't going his way anymore so he wants to still piss you off SOMEhow (i.e attacks you, lash out history).

As much as I hate to say it Jared is actually "kind of" smart, he just cares very little about effort or interest enough for him to actually use his knowledge. If he wanted to hit us, he would've, but he wanted to get under our skin instead, which I also have to admit worked more so than anyone else in this game so far.

This is my read of the scene:

1) The attack comes from the right. This was a difficult shot. Laurie's neck is at the height of MC's chest, the same height he managed to hit him the second time, so it makes sense that this is what he aimed for.

2) From that angle, the only two possibilities are that either Deryl or Laurie were inbetween Jared and MC. Deryl at that point in time is still thought of as an ally, or at least important to Ella, so it's very unlikely that Cole would knowingly risk Deryl.

3) Jared is surprised that his attack did nothing. Additionally the fact that he doesn't try to save face when Cole taunts him shows that he owned his mistake. Whatever he says to MC and Alice doesn't really matter.

Basically, Cole and Charlie went there to grab Deryl. Jared being the idiot he is, thought they were going to engage. He probably told Cole that he is going to attack MC. Cole doesn't hold MC in any esteem, so he let's it happen.

The problem is that Deryl has a change of heart. Cole can't attack Deryl because Charlie has used her power. Also Charlie is friendly with Deryl, so Cole's only option is to threaten MC but he still hasn't noticed that MC has evolved. Lastly Cole isn't really sure if Charlie will support him or not, since they had some "disagreements". So he decides to leave.

Hmmm well this one around wasn't bad at all. Based ON THE AI, I'd rank them this way:

1. Liz
-Hands down the best looking one here from every aspect. You added the the strip of hair with a glow that was nice, along with the green pants twist and her signature white top.

2. Emily
-Controversial I know but suck my cock and balls about it. Strong mommy Raven vibes obviously, but the guitar and laid back goth hoodie design are a perfect combo. The tats are a welcomed addition to this version as well.

3. Christine
-Another probably controversial take but alas, suck on them. Her design is simple, yet fine tuned at in her head features. The freckles are stellar, the little red hair tips, the choker, and those crazy eyes are ALL the things I love about Christine and more. I may be biased, she's up there in general for my favorite waifus.

4. Amber
-So her design actually reminds me of someone who would be a main character in a show like Arcane. But while I do love all of the little details from her hair put up and blue sectioned, or the underwear riding on her fantastic figure; it just doesn't give me strong "Amber" vibes, but more so a complex new character.

5. Brianna
-Calm your fucking tits people I swear to god. I think for me this one almost has too MUCH purple.The outfit, the hair, the earrings, the neon sign in the background, I dunno. Don't get me wrong, purple is my 2nd favorite color, but the over saturation in this one kills it for ME. Another thing is her facial structure has her cheeks hollowed in which almost makes her look older, doesn't rub me the right way. All of it still LOOKS good don't get me wrong, just doesn't click with me PERSONALLY.


Not bad sport, I dig all the effort put into the finer details. I look forward to seeing more either waifus or characters in general. Primarily Demi, Zach, Bernhardt, and Nyx; but I'll settle with whatever you're passionate doing at the time you corrupt fuck.

In dead end 37, he seemed really powerful. Based on what little I saw, I think his power could have to do with him percieving the future in a multitude of timelines branching out from the present and being able to pull the events of those timlines into this one. Scary stuff if true.

After I finished the game to it current stop, I can say for certin that it as if Prototype 1 and the Infamous series had a baby, it would look something like this game, of course if the devs weran't limited and could go full adult with their creation.

Of course it mixed with some anime such as gantz (In artistic style, and in themes) , berserk, tokyo ghoul, Freezing and other Lim del young works.

I maybe missed but does the trasnformation of our MC change based on the games karma system, if I play A Evil mc would I get a more sinister transformation. It would be awsome if evil MC looked diffrent then good MC(More scars, tatoos, aura etccc..)

Also had to call his hero name GUTS, though the story is less darker then I expected(Yet), not meaning its not good, its amazing as it is, complex story just as I like it.

We've seen Deus have the following attributes:
1) He can see the future. The mechanism seems to be that he determines important "points in time" and can follow the branches for as far as his power allows. (Time related)
2) He can access those points in reverse order, looking into the past. He has to actively search for a point that allows him to "see" something in order to undo it. (Time related)
3) He seemingly can manipulate these points, accessing them through what is described as a "tear in space". (Time or Space related, probably Time since he obviously travels to the past during that scene).
3) He has night terrors. (Darkness related?, or perhaps some backlash from using his Time related powers?)
4) He can either supress his aura, or it's not easily detectable by default. (Darkness related?, the only other being that can do that was the Darkness avatar during Deadend 6 if memory serves)
5) A very powerful light projectile that seemingly comes from nowhere. (My guess is that it's related to shaping that "tear in space" into various shapes to be used as a weapon. I doubt that it's light, as we've seen 2 Light traits and they can't be used as a projectile. Both Tiffany and Clark need a medium in order to use Light offensively, and it seems to work by empowering/charging/recharging the weapons.)

I think his main themes are Time and Darkness.

That was mostly speculation on our part here. It seems that the original opinion we had was still correct. Only one infects you. MC is just special and inherited both traits, regardless. We officially learned this update that you can indeed cross inherit powers from the Apostle Twins without the other.

Deus also has full blown Time Traveling powers. That's what he did when he killed the Origin Reborn MC. He opened a hole in space and went back to the time before the MC was reborn in the Origin.

It's still speculation but I believe that Deus is a spawn of the 5th, which is possibly Time, while also inheriting the Space Trait from the 6th. Making him like the MC in inheriting both Twin Traits. He's also just level 4 and even Valravn finds his appearance disturbing and more powerful than Nico, who's Level 5. This is important because Valravn is a Spawn of the 7th and if he's shocked by Deus then you know there's something going on there. Even the Origin MC couldn't tell what was going on with him.

So, at least for me, I think Deus is the oldest known character to inherit both Traits of the Apostles. At just level 4, he's unbelievably powerful with his Time(and Space?) powers. That's most likely why he wants to help and work with the MC, since he inherited both as well. That also means whatever is coming in the future might be extremely dangerous if Deus needs us to help when he's that powerful himself.

Yeah you did, Deus literally like, leaves, through seemingly nothing and then chunks of the Origin MC vanish out of existence. I guess his only "weakness" is that he's not overly destructive meaning no huge AOE like orbital Malik, and probably has a frailer body than most lvl 5s, but I really don't think he even needs all that cause he could just reality slash you if you couldn't regenerate.



I'm still of the thought that BOTH Apostles infect their targets with purpose rather than just one. Sure each one shows a level of control of the other's ability, but I think they BOTH injected us, just off screen. I seriously doubt with a high level of confidence that if you pick the 4th you somehow still have an INSANE level of mastery of shapeshifting, which is our primary way of fighting and interaction so much; you'd forget we even have memory in the first place.

I'm sure it's the same for Deus as well. There's NO SHOT he JUST got injected by the 5th (Time) and happened to also get the abilities of the 6th (Space) so much so that he has the ability to literally go back in time or go through alternate realities, no shot.

I'm guess they are so op because they had BOTH injections, rather than it just being a compatibility thing. If it IS the case that it was only via one injection what's the point of having 2 Apostles then? If each one can practically do the same thing and even pass on both genes if you're compatible enough it makes one of them completely useless narratively speaking. Why not just have an Apostle of Control (Authority 1st & Power 2nd), an Apostle of Being (Body 3rd & Memory 4th), an Apostle of Reality (Time 5th & Space 6th), an Apostle of Equinox (Dark 7th & Light 8th), etc. etc. It makes having 2 useless if each one can not only use both traits but also pass them on beyond their level of mastery over the other. It makes more sense that they BOTH inject you as a way of preparing you to handle someone that can ACTUALLY use both traits equally, i.e their Arbiters/Origins.
