My assumption is the next update is largely going to be centered around MC's reunion with the other cast. We might have some stray monsters to fight here, some monster lore there and another Chosen to talk to somewhere else. But I mostly feel the next update could be a slice of life one. Especially since a lot of people miss the cast on earth. Especially WW, since he can't reasonably make Emily scenes happen in the monster world.

WW also has said in the past that 1.0 wouldn't have sex scenes and would be entirely focused on the plot. Not to be confused with the art rework portion, by the way. I'm talking the story portion at the end. So I expect all of the reunions and sex to happen in the next update and the one after that before 1.0 comes. Not sure if WW is going to go full smut with all of the girls. But there's a good chance of characters like Claudia getting a sex scene. Emily is pretty much guaranteed.

I wonder how Alice fits into that. I was thinking that WW is gonna have Aos and his army show up as a Big Damn Heroes moment during the big brouhaha in 1.0. Maybe they'll actually show up in the penultimate update, and thats where we'll get some Alice denoument (and sexy times).

Alice already got sexy time so she doesn't really need it. But if there's more, probably whenever she returns and they group back up for a minute. Hell, MC has no issues fucking in the middle of a battle. And with Alice recent changes, I don't think she minds at all as well.

I don't think Alice is going to be gone for that long though. I can see her coming back at the end of this update. Or early next update. Since there's at least two more updates until 1.0, according to WW.

IMO as we're going toward the end of season 1 there will be a (short) timeskip between seasons.

There are already early signs as Michael flew off and Alice stayed training with Aos and will look for Michael thereafter. These two are almost guaranteed to not be seen until next season.

Emily is the one I'm most curious about because it can go in any direction. Even if she's turned she needs a lot of power up so I'm expecting WW to use a timeskip to make up for it. We have no idea how time flows in the monster world compared to earth, so the timeskip could also already have happened.
Goth Knight Emily. Make it happen WW! In Valravn we trust.

Deryl stagnated and has to go training either with Thanos or the Rebis.

MC instead will end up training with Ella after she regained her body or with his father. I just don't think it's the right moment for using the dad card, that's just too much of a good plot to use at this moment where so much is going down.

Literally no idea about the twins, I doubt their problem will be fixed this season anyway.

Anyway this is just my baseless speculation, I'm ready to be proven wrong by the update. I'm so excited for it.

We actually do know how time works in the monster world. WW himself said there's no difference. It's the same as earth. A year or two passing in the monster world was the same on earth. Not to mention, the game itself shows that time flows the same. It's not like they're separate universes. The monster world and earth are only separated by the vast distance it requires to traverse it.

The passage of time is also why I was of the opinion that so many of the cast members on earth should've made milestones in their powers. Like Tiffany. And now that Alice pretty much skipped all the way to Level 4 equivalent as an A Class Monster. I stand even more firmly in that belief that everyone else should have progressed. There's no reason for Tiffany to be stuck in Level 2 after around two years of being at that level. Especially when she's likely participating in a monster invasion. She also has HERO backing her with all of their resources.

As for another time skip, I don't think WW can reasonable do another one. Or at least not a massive one to allow new superhumans to catch up. I'll have to play the dead end from this update again, but the climax happens like a year or so later before a Planck attack is fired off.

Last stream I believe WW mentioned he hadn't really considered how long they were in the MW for, cause he thought it was just about 6 months iirc

Days last a different amount of hours on different planets. It was also hinted the Monster World is much much bigger than earth, so days should be far longer than on earth.

The group has only a far-fetched amount of how many days they spent there (as in counting dawns or sunsets) and they have many holes because of weeks spent underground or under the fog or whatever.

Before that stream, he thought it was slightly over a year. That just means he's not sure himself. It'll likely change anyway since he said he might be changing things with the the monster world arc. Don't know exactly what he'll change but that could be one of them. Since time was jumping around a lot in the monster world.

The current pre-1.0 estimate the MC gives for the length of time they've been in the Monster World is "more than a year", but it is true that they had no truly accurate way of measuring time. As for Dead End 49, it's ambiguous how much time passed, but possibly years passed by before that plank attack happened, so there is some wiggle room for a small time skip.

Days last a different amount of time on different planets, but 24 hours are 24 hours. If Deryl just made a clock or something, the time they spent there would be consistent with Earth time.

Even if they counted based on the day cycle of the planet, WW might have just not thought about the time difference, in which case it would probably just be excused with Deryl making a clock, or the star there being in a weird position that allows the planet to have a similar day cycle to earth, or literally any other excuse.

...Is there even a proper day cycle in the monster world? I don't remember.

When exactly does MC say the more than a year part? Pre Aos or Post Aos? He could've got that info from him if it's post. Also, didn't Ella say she knew how to keep track of time there when they first arrived?

Post-arrival back on Earth with Aos. And I can't pinpoint any dialogue from the doll explicitly stating that she can tell time in the Monster World, but she did know exactly how many days they'd been searching for land soon after their arrival.

Then with that information, it's safe to say it's accurate. Paired with Ella potentially keeping track and Aos definitely knowing how much time passed since he can travel from earth and back. A year passing is likely true. Assuming the group also asked Aos off screen about it.

At least that's the passage of time WW decided on in the game, for now. Who knows if it'll change or not.

Interstellar what?
Time is relative, 24 hours is only 24 hours when measured locally. See Einstein's Theory of Relativity which says that measurements of physical quantities (like distance and time) differ for observers in relative motion, but this is due to the nature of spacetime and not due to the act of observation itself. People in different dimension doesn't even occupy the same spacetime so locally measured time and distance will always be different compared to other dimensions.

Addendum: The person you replied to was referencing the movie Interstellar.

Yo, how's it going?

Sorry I didn't post last week, been doing a lot of shit lately.

Anyway, on to the point. How's the game been going? Yeah, pretty well. I'm at the phase where I'm just spending all day drawing shit and arranging scenes for the update. There's a lot of shit I want to include in this one, so I've kinda been juggling on deciding how much of it needs to be done in this update vs the next. I've got a goal in mind that I think I'll reach, but I might do a bit extra if I have extra time, it just depends. Which leads me to the next point, when the game is probably coming out. Basically, I'm aiming to get it done before June ends, so around 2 weeks from now at a guess. This chapter is gonna set up a lot of shit for the future, some of which I might let you vote on, but we'll talk about that after it's release, so look forward to that. Anyway, that's it for now. I'll prob do another post pretty soon to make up for last week, so stay tuned.

See ya.
