I named my MC Aiden, Aiden sounds very cool to me and I think the name suits the MC, and Night Hunter for his hero persona, my thinking for this name was "Mc's armor is black so, black=night, and we can kill so that makes him a hunter"So what did you guys name your alternate persona? Mine was Nycto
I named my MC John (I had just finished watching John wick lol, takes me back) and his hero name Darkness (yeah didn't put much effort into it but I think it honestly fits).I named my MC Aiden, Aiden sounds very cool to me and I think the name suits the MC, and Night Hunter for his hero persona, my thinking for this name was "Mc's armor is black so, black=night, and we can kill so that makes him a hunter"
[/EDITED]Either this week-end or early july
In my first run I named him Fulgrim, it´s the name of a shady seller in the darksiders saga but with an F, later I learned about the Warhammer 40k Fulgrim, maybe I heard that name somewhere since it trend for a bit.So what did you guys name your alternate persona? Mine was Nycto

Brother, the +1 Love point will matter someday, trust the process.Did I make a mistake by choosing Love (Tiffany +1) in the Tiffany choices early on?
I've been skimming through the thread, and it seems like there is going to be a lot of stuff I'm going to need to buy later on. Should I have chosen the $10 million? Or even the +30 Power?
So don't give Amber the $500?Yeah, it's tight. You can do it on a min corruption playthrough, but you'll wind up with near nothing afterward. $1000 for winning Alice's poker game back during the Mafia arc, another $1000 for hunting the Gorgon successfully, $2000 for fighting the Asura with Nico, and then $49000 for dropping out of the tournament and not getting caught. $53000 is enough to get you both the Skill bones, Vortex Stone, Raffle Ticket, and then you'll be completely wiped out. Or go for the Power bones instead and have $3000 left over. The soda isn't necessary, if you didn't get caught infiltrating Langdon's office and picked Power for what you want from Tiffany, you'll have enough to pass the check it helps you with.
I wonder what the purchases the MC might have to make later on will be, though. Shopkeep offering to trade Power for money suggests that there will be things he needs to buy, but I don't know what. All the really useful stuff comes from Shopkeep anyway, everything else you can spend money on is things like a few relationship points in Amber or Emily's routes. Maybe we'll have to bribe someone or something like that, I don't know. But if money is to be valuable again, taking Shopkeep's conversion offer might be worth it over going for Skill gain or Corruption reduction. I dropped a save at the shop just in case.
EDIT: Actually, come to think about it, the Vortex Stone really isn't that useful if you didn't buy the Spine as well, so if you're going for the Power bones instead of Skill bones you can skip it, giving you an extra $15000. That's not a bad amount to have going into the next update, $18000.
I initially named mine Jake Banner. Only to discover later that there was another pretty important character named Jake (Huxley). At first I tried to roll with it, but I ended up having to change my first name to Jake* because I couldn't tell which character Ella and Alexis would be referring to. LOL!So what did you guys name your alternate persona? Mine was Nycto
It should be safe. It's been a while since I've checked the exact numbers, but I know you can make at least $500 off the small money gambling options in the early game. I just left it out because you can't make enough money to matter for any of Shopkeep's special items. So don't give Amber the $500?
Well if you're willing to loose 30 power you can always ask Tiffany for money instead, makes money a non issue. It should be safe. Dark Adam. The reason might be offensive for someone, but the first time I played I had watched Hazbin Hotel and I couldn't help but see a cool parallel between MC and Ella with Adam and Eve, with Ella offering the pill (parallel to the apple) to MC, which changed his world. With all this, it came to me naturally. I also thought that MC would be the first superhuman, just like Adam being the first human, so there's this extra, and despite me being horribly wrong I think it's cool that my MC had a cocky mentality by thinking he's the first only to get humbled not much later. So what did you guys name your alternate persona? Just train when you have the option to train, and alternate between skill and power when given choices. Like with the shopkeep, get the horn, and when you meet Aglaecwif, get the skill. Kill the people you want to kill and spare the ones you don't want to.I've been referencing the thread as I play, and I see that a lot of people are doing either a full corruption/power run, or a 0 corruption/skill playthrough. Is that the way the story is meant to play out? Meaning, do I need to go all-in on either path in order to have the most enjoyable experience with the story/lore?
Right now my playthrough is focused on skill, but I am killing people though. My corruption's not super high (it's at 17, and I'm at the beginning of the Valravn arc), because I'm only killing people that try to do me harm.
But it feels like playing this way is going to cause me to miss out on a lot of things as I get deeper into the game. I already can't understand what the Apostle is telling me in my dreams, because my corruption is too low.
