You most likely recalled wrong on the WoG. I'm pretty sure he has never said Deus has no connection to the 5th. Simply because he almost never give straightforward answers with spoiler type questions.

But like you said, and what the game itself showed. It's almost impossible for Deus to not have Time powers of some kind. He has:

Told Alexis and Clark exactly where to meet Ella.

Told Dexter that Tiffany is dangerous to him.

Knew MC was coming to HERO and called the elevator for him. That's along with telling him to be careful of Ella as his future with her is murky.

Xanthe saying he's more accurate than Zack and intentionally being less accurate when it involves MC.

Told HERO that their victory is assured before the Battle of Diamonds (if I remember right).

There's also the finding of Apostle shells, the fact that he located Valravn and that only he is able to corner Hex if it tried to flee. The game saying that Time is dangerous to Space users, according to Nyx when talking to Nico. Hex is an S Rank mutant with some level of control over time, but majority space.

Like, it's almost impossible to say he doesn't have Time. It also the immaterial one of the twin traits, which would explain how he can manipulate some of the immaterial world.

was scrolling through the more popular games on this site and came across this game i completely forgot about. i remember enjoying this game a ton but was struggling to get through the early game due to the old scenes and sprites which was understandable since this came out 4 years ago

i'm curious though, does anyone know if the dev plans to update the rough early part of the game to fit the more modern and good looking style?

the last time i played this game was when MC helped his friend (daryl i think his name was) overcome his monsterification and i plan on giving this game a full replay once it reaches v1.0

He does plan to update it but we are still a couple of updates away.

Yes, he will eventually go back and redo the early art, and from what I've heard, make things a bit more in line with the intended story progression (i.e. redoing some of early Ella's scenes for continuity, increasing the scale of Ella vs Alexis and Whatshisface due to the fact that Level 5 was originally only city level)

That being said, v1.0 isn't the end of the story, it's likely only around the halfway point in my opinion.

I'd say your right about that, however what I do think is that rather than continuing to update this one that we'll get a Superhuman 2 upon 1.0 release to keep file size down among other reasons.

I believe WW has said he doesn't intend to create a separate launcher, but that could change in the future.

Some in the beginning in just one specific route for a few scenes, though I did see a post who claimed the dev said he would continue and implement more for the rest of romance interests so who knows.

I think it's more than that myself, that too, but the main thing is these people are used to playing through romance paths and experiencing, and even, projecting themselves as the guy getting the girls, and they get attached to these heroines emotionaly, their stories, how their personality develops as they start loving the Mc etc.
So for them just to IMAGINE, that the game offers the possibility where their pursued love interests become warped in the complete opposite of what they see as their ideal gf is no doubt brain scorching.

It's akin to, idk, imagine a Kpop fan ( just an example ), and you show this kpop fan how you photoshopped the face of their beloved idol unto a hardcore gangbang image from a porn vid, they'd go ballistic. I see it as the same here, just having NTR sullies their attraction to these heroines.

He did though. He goes to the elevator and stands in front of it before leaving. Then MC comes flying out of it like a blob. Jake, Lexi and Clark were already out of the elevator by then.

Also, to expand on this, because I just remembered. I get why one would think it was via Lexi and Clark, because the game shows MC after them. However, the part that gets overlooked there is that minutes went by in the elevator before MC arrives within HERO. Malik also states Deus was out and is now coming back. Which puts him at the elevator in both scenarios.

For Lexi and Clark to be the ones to let MC in, they would've had to stood by the elevator for several minutes and would've caught him. They also would've bumped into Deus and wouldn't be asking where he was with Malik and Nico.

I don't think it'll be a super saiyan kind of power up, but I expect it to be a lot like the mantis bullet punch he had for a while, where he could boost his power extremely high for a brief moment. Maybe at the tail end of Level 4, he'll use the eel DNA he's had for a while now, and just continuously shock himself for a constant amp.

It being the trigger for his evolution is honestly fairly likely, your probably right on that, maybe in a fight against Met or something along those lines. To do with Syla though, electricity still hurt her, she was just able to use it's energy regardless, still did lots of damage to her. Sort of like a drug that deals 20% of your health but boosts your stats for a while. That said it's a moot point anyway since as the game itself has said, the MC will not go down the same path as Syla and will not be able to do the same things that she could do.
