I've known people like him. About half the time the reason they're so easily startled or seem a little slow is because their attention is drawn so far inward that it causes a temporary disconnect from their outside world.

I could challenge your "he's just slow due to no motivation" description with lots of examples but I happen to be here in the game so I'll use this one. He just raced Liz in the pool to give her some motivation. She shows up in the shower to have sex with him and HE COMPLAINS ABOUT IT!



He's definitely interested and definitely motivated yet he's still a derp who actually tries to cock block himself. If he represents a lot of people playing this game then they are pretty damn derpy. Let's look at all of the dialog:

Or in other words a brand new person with false memories of their entire life (brand new being younger than you think when you start the game) riding around in Revan's previously owned body. I suppose that's a matter of semantics and whether you believe that the partial return of his memories is actually his return. I'm inclined to think it is not since Light side is canon, but hey, I could be wrong. It's been a long time. I don't think I've run through it since it first released.

You're putting too much focus on the materials used, the MC already used Tungsten but why not better materials than steel all time? writing is not about checking your textbook for the best answer, its about emotion. The MC hits his opponents with fists of steel because it sound cooler than fists of graphene, why Iron Man is still called Iron Man when he doesn't wear suits made from Iron.

Well, you're right about that, partly...., because if you pay close attention, especially when it comes to Deryl and Mia, the superhuman aspect actually feels quite scientific, with real science involved. Adding graphene would just be another power upgrade like any other, like the heart Xanthe gave him, or some of the formulas Deryl also provided that made him stronger. But yeah, steel does sound more... common to think of.

He was basically brain damaged as a result of Malak's cowardly betrayal, and in an effort to both heal him and learn about where he was getting such an inordinantly massive fleet in so little time, they suppressed his memories and imprinted false ones whilst wanting to use Bastila's bond with him to draw out the needed memories for the information they sought. This led to him having "visions" of the starmaps which would lead to the Starforge.

I suppose that's a matter of semantics

What you've forgotten is that SuperHuman takes place in an alternate history setting which means Californium, Americium, and Einsteinium don't exist as there is nothing to name them after.

That's a bold claim to make, when it's never been stated that they don't.
Seeing as they're all part of the periodic table, nuclear weapons exist and they were all discovered well before the time of the Unification War in this game's history, it's safe to assume that they do exist as part of the game's world.

Ah, I see, you're new. I won't spoil too much, but there's a girl with robotic legs later on that flat out asks him, "...are you just fucking with me, or are you really that dumb?" he replies "Can't it be both?"

A guy with brains will have some method for making damn sure that a girl is being sincere in her advances. In this case, I think it was just fucking with him that she actually saw him that way, when she'd already spurned him before. In other cases though, it pays to be careful. You don't want the girl deciding to fuck with your life and cry rape just for shits and giggles, that is more than likely why he plays dumb when a girl flirts with him. Keep in mind also, that he has the same mind that he did back when he was a shrimp. At the point you are in the story, he's still getting used to being hot.

I also think it's a jab at anime protagonists having the problem you think he has, cockblocking themselves for the sake of psychologically blueballing their audiences.

Tiffany recognizes his cunning, she says as much later on, after they've been working together for awhile. Jeff, an acquaintance of Stephen's alludes to this as well when they meet at the casino. He also doesn't take himself as seriously as you clearly do.

He'll grow on you if you relax, pay attention, and enjoy the game. He isn't the dumbshit he paints himself to be.

I think the 3 of them now would kick their asses, even with Shen being an unknown, combination of considerable power increase and team work.

Its been a year since then and how much stronger Weird has made them is a complete unknown. I don't think the twins will have evolved, I think that will be a major plot point.

No, he was canon pre-Disney.
Before Disney took over, the canon was a tiered system that changed once after its introduction (The Clone Wars CG series) and consisted of;
G-Canon - "George Canon", the highest tier.
T-Canon - "Television Canon" that put The Clone Wars series as second-highest canon
C-Canon - The general canon tier that everything else that wasn't G or T canon - games/books/comics etc.
S-Canon - "Secondary Canon" for things that were not quite non-canon but weren't strictly canon.
N-Canon - "Non Canon", which is pretty self explanatory.

Deryl and Lamber are enough to go toe to toe with the twins by the most part. I do not see Evander doing too well vs Lamber and Deryl should had caught up to the mirror match. Shen vs MC is where things go very wrong. Shen is a level 4, not a new one and he is not retarded, meaning he is a bigger problem than Cole. Deryl and MC even currently would still struggle vs Cole. If I switch the matchups it becomes nastier. Whoever goes up against Shen straight up loses in a duel, the question is how fast and Shen is nastier the more participants are involved. Shen would take longer vs MC. Evander would likely run into issues due to strength eater or Deryl's flight + his salvo of ranged attacks. Evana struggles no matter who she faces so best she can do is hold stonewall Deryl assuming they are about even. Evana vs Lamber would be interesting tbh.

I think my answer is a bit off but it is a bit rough to estimate how strong Shen or Jake are. Would be funny if they faced off but given the whole Jake is dead in half the playthroughs, i do not think his role will be big.

Ok now hold on a second since you've been thrashing him left and right but here I gotta defend him a little.
I actualy can appreciate Liz's character, but fcking hell I can imagine being her friend to be cofusing as hell, she's weird, chaotic, and random and I don't blame the Mc for failing to keep up with whatver goes through her head. Remember, in his mind she ditched him in high school after he confessed, and he distanced and forced down his feeling for her for years afterwards and focused on his own shit, and now, years later, after she showed no romantic or physical interest for him, she suddently gets her freak on because he beat her in a swimming contest ? Yeah, I don't blame him, Liz is very weird and chaotic.

And another thing, you do you ofc. But since you've posted several times how he annoys you, I think you might consider either changing your mindset, or ditching. Idk, to be honest, I never even noticed the things you mention, in my mind he's quirks are either due to his apathetic and carefree nature ( or airhead to put it more rudely ), his weird friends, or the fact that his whole life is turned upside down as he becomes a superhuman, faces down monsters, the mob, and other shady individuals. Dude's got a lot on his plate and I can understand his absentmindedness at times.

Respect for sharing your opinion while leaving room for mine. I have to admit I'm really enjoying myself even though my soundtrack of cursing about the MC may speak otherwise. Once I renamed him it got a lot easier even though I still yell at him all the time. Also, posting here helps as folks often have perspectives I haven't considered. Peace.
