I love how nothing is black and white in this story, how everyone is somewhat to very flawed, esp the two Xanthe's who despite that fact are apparently among humanitys most important factors. Both organisations (HERO and SIN) are autorathive and anti-democratic yet so very necessary which is (probably) realistic but not usual in stories.

About Cole:

Damn, seeing his new state did something to me, its like our MC did kill him but we lacked the satisfaction of doing so and now ... he seems gone? Like some zombie, is there even a little bit of the original cole left? Wont feel satisfiying to destroy him like that :cry:

Im kinda over the cole revenge now somehow, guess jared will have to take twice the gruesome beating, tanos is a scary motherfucker tho.

Btw about Nico:

Loved everything with her in this update lol, really letting her guard down more and more and being surprisingly (?) open and straightforward towards the mc, showing him genuine adoration and praise after he lured out the s-class. Her betting on the mc's survival is something which she wouldnt have done earlier on either.

And i really loved how she strong-armed the other lieutenants away to chill with the MC herself lmao and how she was giving him genuine advice about always trying to become stronger and seems genuinely interested in him developing alongside with her.

Giving us insight about her former partner helped to understand further why she despises cowards or weakness. Considering that, her behavior towards Jill Pyre during/after the fight with Ella was honestly kinda tame.

I kind of prefer the Dissolve victory, even if Overpower gives more rewards. The MC winning by realizing that the quirks of his powers means that he has a defense against Authority feels more meaningful than just powering through. It's more of a refutation of the "Authority is the best, nobody can beat it, know your place filthy 3rd/4th" attitude, because it's demonstrating a fundamental weakness in Authority instead of just our personal strength. It's not that we're an exceptional specimen that can overcome Authority's advantage, it's that Authority doesn't have as much of an advantage as it thinks and needs to be less arrogant.

  • I imagine a lot of the delay was with the various Jake scenes, surprisingly more than I expected given his potentially dead status.
  • I liked the alternative viewing angles, it definitely adds more dynamic to sex scenes.
  • Black Mouth infecting Zack is probably even worse than my initial thought of merely kidnapping, really spooky if true.
  • Black Mouth potentially being an old superhuman is also really interesting.
  • Really surprised there was no Christie or Emily infection scene. The set-up was there and everything, but now I'm wondering if that's even going to happen now. It could still happen, but with them being at the party it means they aren't in the same place anymore.
  • Woooo, Wasting Mother mentioned! And apparently might be the first thing to give the Big 3 a run for their money, considering Bernie had to go help Malik out. 43 billion lightyears is a long fucking way.
  • Portal travel not being instant... kinda makes sense, even if only slightly. And this feels like a pretty massive upgrade to our understanding of Nico's effective range, even if accounting for the Clark buff.
  • So the first three Spheres are the Material Sphere (our world), the Anti-Material Sphere (an antimatter world), and the Immaterial Sphere (the dream world). There appears to be an implication that each Sphere might have a twin partner, so I wonder if such a partner exists for the Immaterial.
  • Tying Creation/Destruction to matter/anti-matter is interesting.
  • Doll Ella being a no show is suspicious.
  • With the knowledge that Bernie and Malik are basically destroying planets, the fact that it takes several years for them to make it to the monster world is telling, especially considering the ritual presumably ends next update. I'm not sure how to reconcile this with what we know.
  • The Tiffany love points start finally mattering! It was only a matter of time.
  • We get the opportunity to officially start the Alexis romance if you choose her over Nico, about time.
  • MC potentially becoming a Lieutenant in Henri's new team is exciting. I wonder what the team name will be.
  • I was not expecting Melody and Eira to be in Zack's group.
  • ...The mohawk girl is a dude??? Could've fooled me.

Im just farming morality points and only picking options that give the MC more lore and insights about wtf is happening ( I had <1000 power and 58 skill before the jake fight) so I was pretty scared that Id lose to jake or some monster and lose aura points that I need to make baddies wet their thongs and become a lieutenant.

Nah probably one more update 3 months later then we enter the polishing phase for 1.0 that'd need like 7 months atleast. So yeah just play the update bubba spare yourself this torture.

Something that Ella mentioned once, when talking about "gods" other than the Apostles. We don't know what it is, just that it's powerful, has a scary name, and is so far away that Ella didn't think there was any need to worry about it. In her defense, nobody expected Malik to travel to the far side of the universe.

The superhuman worldbuilding is just so cool man it has so much potential for so much stuff, concepts and so many stories. I wont say its completely unique but yeah its such a breath of fresh air.
