I mean, they aren't though. For his part, Jake was being hyped up by Ella, with the "You have one of the more special powers I've seen, maybe even more so than MC, you just need to use it." She kept feeding his ego while pushing him to be aware (and afraid) of MC. She does everything she can to make him feel antagonized by the MC, to the point of turning into MC and telling Jake to basically "Fuck off, you're not special like me!".

And even then, after what he did to Mia and Ella saying she'll fix her if he kills MC, if you had a good relationship w/Jake up till that point, he doesn't want to kill you (although he wanted to let you rot in prison). At worst, Jake is a manipulated dumbass trying to fix his best friend after his fuckup cost her.

He's fully aware of what he's doing, even they're getting manipulated by Ella. That's the consequences of his action and his stupidity in the outcome he hurts his only friend Mia. Out of desperation the only thing he can think of to save Mia is to kill the Mc as Ella said so.

In the prison part even the Mc exposed Ella that she's manipulating him but Jake doesn't give a shit and still proceeds to make the Mc kills himself.

In my "Playthrough" Jake proceeds to kill the Mc, and since your playthrough Jake only lets the Mc rot in jail.

The imprinting was partially successful. It 100% altered his mind and made him put Ella above all else.

I don't know if I remember the exact thing I thought it was back then. Because I was still crashing out during the Jake fight. But I think the imprint she put on Deryl was related to the effigy. Since that's what Ella assigned Deryl to make.

Though, it could also be her plan. I still think it's weird that Deryl never actually told MC and his friends Ella's plan. Since he knew it before becoming a monster and after becoming one. I'll ask WW next stream because I do think it's weird for Deryl to withhold that information. It's the same about the Apostles too. He clearly knows about them to have a discussion with Tanos. But he never talks with MC about it? Even though MC told him earlier Aos telling him to say hi to the 4th or 3rd for him.

Then again, 1.0 could already be accounting for these things. Like Ella being wrong about the 3rd and 4th not being about to change others. Which never made sense.

See he himself said that you can't trust Ella, he's aware all of this time, but his dumbass trusted Ella, well because Ella gave her powers and he got manipulated just like Jake yada yada yada. He is not getting "Mindfucked" because he CHOSE to trust Ella.

The mindfuck is just a small part of all these corrosion, it's actually almost not that effective to Deryl. Deryl is just stubborn at it's best.



See, he even proceeds to continue to fight the Mc because of his stubbornness. If he's REALLY MINDFUCK at best, Deryl will stop the fight and asked what the fuck is happening and why is he a monster full blown monster. But it didn't happen, he's fully aware of his action and what's happening throughout all these time. All of these can prevent if he's not stupid and stubborn, he just wanted to get beef with the Mc.

Until he regain small memories from the "Doll" and almost got beaten up with the Mc, and now he's done with her.

Having fun with this game so far, would be nice if there was more minigame elements present and perhaps some full animation at some point.

I do like the comedy, at first I was worried this was going to be another big boobs for no reason sort of game but its a hilarious running gag in the game which is a nice comedic touch.

No… Ella is like the real-life mafia. She can be horrible to a lot of people, but with her own, she genuinely cares about them. That includes the kids (and btw, in the new updates they explain that she went through something similar when she was younger, which justifies her choices). She also cares about her friends. WW is that kind of writer who makes very multifaceted characters, bad and good at the same time, which is actually very realistic.
