I would say you're a tad bit off but others covered those parts with their explanation so I'll skip it.

For Jake, his power isn't simply mind control, it's the ability to command all things, overall. His trait was "Authority" but he ruined it at some point. He was actually supposed to be able to command people, objects, powers and potentially even the laws of the universe itself but he ruined that because of his mindset. "Mind Control" is like a sub function of the overall trait.

When it comes to the MC. His Memory Trait isn't just diving into their memories for perfect shapeshifting. He can store their memories in a corner of his mind to retain their info. He can even give said memories to others, if he devoured them. That's on top of being able to attack people with a memory attack that drags out their own as he damages them. The only thing the MC can't do with his Memory Trait is form mental links from a distance without touching someone first. Only Mommy 4th, Aglaecwif and Sharon can do that without touching. Some of this stuff you'll have to do corruption to find out. Like the storing and giving memories portion.

Yeah it's true that he probably didn't or doesn't understand his own power it didn't help he lost it during his evolution aswell which made him not learn more about it. Seeing as Ella mentioned 50% of the power comes from the monster and the other 50% the humans understanding of it and their personality/mind.

When it comes to his power I'm not sure if Authority would be the right word for it since it can have multiple meanings one of the most basic one's would be the authority to use something which in turn would make his power more in line with being able to use other superhumans powers after he has gotten authority of their powers. At the same time the word authority kinda fits since authority can always be challenged and with how when Jake tries to use his "authority" it becomes a clash of wills where Jake can risk dying if the other side is to strong.

Personally I believe the base of his power is Command or something similar like dictate or maybe order/mandate. Since so far his powers has been shown to be verbal in that he can command someone or something to follow his wishes or how he dictates to everyone around him that his new appearence has always been how he looked.

Jake and the 1st Apostle power is legitimately called Authority in game though. Jake even directly called it that, "Authority: Imprint" from what I recall.

Narratively we may be able to discern the overarching theme of power vs love. However the game does not track it this way.
There is a morallity system in place. The variable is called "moral", starts at 10, and currently you can get it up to 15 or as low as 6.

For example, during the third evolution, the Eye says (paraphrasing) "Last time you told me you fight for X reasons, is that still the case?". The choice of X depends on the "moral" variable and not the answer you gave during the second evolution. Additionally, no matter what answer you give, the game tracks a change in the "moral" variable (+1 for selfless, -1 for selfish response) and does not log the actual answer.

I expect that once MC starts making choices that affect more than just his immediate environment, the morallity system will start playing a much bigger role.

For now, it doesn't matter if you choose love or power. The only thing that is tracked is the morality of your actions and not all actions, no matter how intense, affect morallity.

I didn't bother thoroughly checking but how much of a difference do the stat bumps the titty monster gives you make? I chose to have the tit monster route be my main because I got the feeling the lore info she gives could mean something down the line but it's too early to tell.

The funny part about the ONLINE consensus regarding the age of consent being 18 is rather...where did they pull that age from anyway? The majority of US states (31 in total) have it at 16 while only 8 have it at 17 and the remaining (11) states have it at 18.

The rest of the world varies but most of them from what I gather have their age of consent at 16 or below (the lowest I saw was 12 (lookin at Angola).

But anyway NE on 1 but YE on 2.

Let's put it that way:

MC, no matter what, will have to interact with his friends in very "set" ways, driven by the main plot. The player gets the option to either assist his friends or ignore them, but when they get a role in the main plot, the important actions are already decided by MC's "base personality". There is a path where you (the player) don't give a shit about Liz or Amber, but there is no path where the MC won't rush to their protection once Dad makes that phonecall.

Additionally there is no path where MC is powercrazy like the Sith Lords in Starwars, who kill their own family to "purge" the weakness and be more in tune with the dark side. The low morality path is that MC doesn't give a fuck about random people and is selfish, but he still retains his relationships and he definitely gives a shit about his friends. We don't get the chance to be hostile to people that MC considers "close".

Finally the property of "friend" seems to apply to a select subset of the cast. You can be friendly with Demi and Jake for example, but the choice to kill them is independed of whatever relationship you manage to build with them.

It's extremely contrived for MC to have to kill his friends to achieve ultimate power, unless of course the endgame is to consume the cosmos, or make some similar choice that everyone opposes it no matter the friendship, because it's insane. Even for a selfish MC, the Eye recommends to consume 4 specific people, where only 2 of them can be called "friendly".


My point is this:
Considering the narrative, the difficulties of branching paths and the linear nature of the game, the more likely scenario is that the morality score will be sufficiently low to unlock an ending where you get to kill your friends and become an eldritch horror. I highly doubt that it will work the opposite way.

Oh of course plenty of US states have laws prohibiting certain content (and I assume the same across the world).

Reminds me of the pokemon scandal a long while back where there was an episode with a gun but a buncha American moms got the episode pulled (still wild to me the land of gunowners got upset over such an episode from long ago).

But anywho I'm just surprised the 'standard' isn't more varied since most nations again are down with the 16 gang I'd expect 17 to be the middle ground not 18.

Probably movies and tv series. A creator has a lot of reasons to use the age that is going to accepted all around the globe, unless of course the work of art is about "illegal" relationships, either as an expository piece or something more "spicy".

Considering that the majority doesn't really care about the age of consent unless they are put in a situation where it matters, and even when it matters, the garden variety social media/online "activists" don't even read the law before writing their crap and invoke some morallity standard they pulled out of their ass, it really doesn't surprise me that everyone thinks it's 18.
