Bro...Just play a games Baldur Gate 3? Phillars of eterinity? Pathfinder? Neverwinter?

Bro sit on faken porno site with his one free hand and complain a shit about not having a "real" power over plot or anything.

And no you had In fact a important choice, Its all about "perspective"

I had no problem with It If I want deep games I just play the kinda of games I mention before.

But If I want lay on the bed and chill I pick such as this.

I forgot when I last time download a game from this site expect the superhuman.

I gusse I grow up from porno games or my private life sustian all my needs.

But yeah dont play this game at all, you dont get a concept of such a games.
Sorry, but the guy is kinda right. More than once the fight scenes dragged on, to the point that they felt like filler material, that extended game time without actually moving the narrative forward.

Add to that the fact that at crucial points the mc must lose regardless of your choices.

I am not talking about the dead ends either. But simply at crucial points in the game, the mc or his companions must wear the idiot cap, in order to create unnecessary drama.

And this happens multiple times to the point that it creates frustration.

You lose against the twins, not because of your actions but because the story required it. You fail to kill Cole, because heaven forbid the mc gets a clean victory for once.

The bad thing is I predicted both events. Would have shaken things up quite a bit, and lead the game into a new and unpredictable direction if you simply got to kill Cole, no plot armour, no Deus ex machina bullshit. But of course that could not happen. We can't have the mc actually get a clean victory?! We must have more unnecessary drama to drive the story forward!

well, that's how animes work most of the time, and the game is heavily inspired by them. So shouldn't be that big a surprise that it drags on sometimes

Except you don't lose against the twins, you lose to Shen, a level 4. He puts you to sleep.
It's true you fail to kill Cole, but I'm not sure what that has to do with the 'idiot cap' you mentioned. You're unable to kill Cole because his siblings and Tanos show up.
Also, you get plenty of clean victories. Kenny, Danica, Klaus, Jake, etc.

How would his death lead the game in a new and unpredictable direction? We don't even know what's going to happen as a result of Cole surviving.

Yeah such a nonsensical post, i even know this feeling from other games/series but its just not like that here lol

And we did beat Cole fair and square and after we got even more knowlegde about him (how pathetic he is) and that he didnt even killed Liz, that was fine/enough. Thanos doing whatever kind of freaky shit to cole now gives so much more possibiliys for unpredictable directions.

Killing cole would be meaningless at this point, literally nobody would care at this point

I do see your point but if you reached this far into the game you should have already noticed that you are playing a story, not forging your own path. We as players can't choose to ally with SIN, we can't choose to kill Deryl, etc. And the choices we DO have don't impact the story that much, like killing Jake or other people. But that is by design. The dev has said that he didn't want to create a game with multiple variables to manage, he just wanted a story.

So the MC WILL lose some battles and he WILL make decisions that are out of our control. I am perfectly fine with it and I like how it's done in the game, but if this is something that heavily impacts your enjoyment of the game, you should probably consider dropping it.

I do agree with your point about the MC being dumbed down at times for the sake of the plot though, it's probably the only critcism I have for this game. Too many times he forgets what he was thinking about, too many times his train of thought is interrupted by someone and he never thinks about it again, and so on. It's one of my least favorite tropes in any kind of media.

With all that said, we don't have it nearly as bad as some other games here, like the MC from Being a DIK throwing a tantrum when he finds out his roomate has a girlfriend (regardless if WE the players were on their route or not). The decisions our MC makes at least make sense with his character, and when he does lose a fight it's justifiable. Plus, he's a really good MC overall.

Best creation on this site only wish i put it off until it was completed. I have noticed some complaints here and there about choices but idk how you expect to have huge story divergence in this kind of grand narrative you think your playing baulders gate 3 or someshit its so stupid. this game is made by one dude the fact that you can kill like 3 chars and the plot doesnt start breaking at the seems is impressive enough.

The only fight that got really dragged out was against Cole imo, but I can see the reason behind it. MC had to fight Cole while a bit underpowered, beat him, witness him evolve and completely deplete Cole's level 4 energy, MC and Deryl were pretty much doing scratch damage the whole fight.
So a dragged out fight was ok, it was literally an endurance fight, I don't think it will become the norm.

True, I know this long before, hell I even mention It some time ago here, but It is what It is, the mc Is just a meat to be chop, chop non stop.

For me Its more about the fact that the MC seems like lack of emotions nor he did ask himself about all this shit about monsters and etc, he was like "oh Im superhuman *shrug* time to sleep *welp* and Its suck, If I was In his shoe oh boy I would ask myself MANY question I would ask, speak with everyone to understand myself AND I would as fast as I can try to speak, understand or whatever this take with my monster side, inside my head.

But the dev for some reason did not allow this.

Also MC lack of fineness made me mad, by fineness I mean the fineness In a fight, he just dump fuck go In he for the whole time from the first relased version of this game count on his regenaration, like In my opinion this SHOULD be his last sort of deffense no matter how much he can count on It, that should no happen that often.

He has also the mind read power, like imagine If I was him as well I would read and remember best fighters, superhumans, monster and god who knows, who more to make sure my mind Is sharp and I can fight In every style If needed due to the situation I am In.

I would also.....

Well no point for me to write more, because me, you, or the guy I replay before, no matter what we say, It Is what It Is, so just play the game the way It Is or dont at all, there Is nothing we can do expect speaking what we like or not.

I gusse some expect to much from the game I mean I know for sure that "I mc" never be even at the 30% level of the Indra, this how the mc should be, maybe not RIGHT NOW, but In the end, but by looking how dump fuck he fights make me sick.

I've enjoyed this game so far, but since reaching the h.e.r.o. section of the story, it's gotten soooo much less engaging. I enjoyed following the many different side-stories going on with all the different characters while the main story progressed in unison.

Now it's just a single storyline and some of the scenes are sooooooo damn long, i'm just waiting to be given a choice again.

Most of that stuff doesnt really seem like it'd work well when written in game ngl.

So, it's been a while since I've first seen this.
And after ruining both my last weekend, my sleep schedule and my performance at work for the past days, I've come back to consider why I didn't try this sooner.
Until I looked through the thread and remembered.
You are all a bunch of fucking weirdos at the best of times. Even considering where we are.

With that out of the way, this has been an incredible ride and I am impressed with WW's skills with the simplest and most important technique for telling stories: foreshadowing. Up until now almost everything that happens in the game up to this point can basically be inferred from the first arc if you're attentive enough.

Still, if I picked this up during the dreamworld cliffhanger, I likely wouldn't have pushed through afterwards. Cole20.jpg hit way too damn hard.

As a closing statement: I absolutely want Steven's side story. A road trip of two veterans, one a police man and one shady as fuck, and an overpowered fairy in a world of monsters and superhumans to sort shit out for their superpowered kids just sounded increasingly hilarious ever since the fairy turned out to be a distant but very fussy parent to Alice.
HA ! You just described my last week perfectly. I'd try to binge it over the weekend, hours upon hours, didn't finish, had no idea how long it was.
Monday comes around and I decide Imma hold it for the upcoming weekend, but nope, temptation won me over, I'd think '' K imma save most of it for the upcoming weekened and just read half an hour or so'', then I'd end up reading till 2 or 3 in the morning. Work was fucking brutal but I kept doing it, couldn't stop.
And this went on for almost the whole week. Oh and since my dumbass just jumped straight in I did not realize it wasn't finished, so when the Scylla fight came around I kept going and going and then I was like : Omg, this game is not finished, fuuuuuuck, I thought I was reading a complete game, blue-ballled hard.

Ps, Ella is bae, but Emily is underrated, everyone here is either Alice this or Ella that, but Emily is top 3 for sure.

i miss liz and amber being two seperate women, i wish we could have saved them but i still like this game regardless
It's the first time I ever started to really care about them as characters, it's given them an interesting dynamic and goal. Prior to that Amber and Liz where ok as character, but nothing special, if anything Liz's position as his first big crush never really made any sense, even the supposed similarity doesn't land with the MC having a rep for being tenacious and Liz being an emotional dead fish who sleeps around. If she had a personality similar to his mother, I would completely get it.

This is the spider web syndrome, at first you start thinking and have the illusion that you have MANY choices that have a dramatic or less significant impact on the game, but with each choice and push forward you get closer to the "middle" of the spider web.

See? In the end all paths reach the same destination.

Definitely a hot take but i agree the school parts were definitely my favorite. Now the game doesn’t even feel same anymore.
