Ella says he only has about 50% compatibility with Power during the scene where she gives him the second pill.

The Leigong is 58% Power, 8% Fantasy, and 34% Ether.
Michael most likely has some level of compatibility with Fantasy and Ether as well, which makes him more compatible with the Leigong than with Power.

Ella never specifies exactly how compatible with Power Michael is, she explicitly says he's not an "exact fit". That doesn't mean he's low, it just means he's not perfectly or borderline perfectly compatible on a genetic level with his apostle like Jake or the MC respectively. I reckon his genetic compatibility for the Apostle is quite high, definitely more than 50-58%. Power seems to like Michael a lot, considering how its actively guiding him at Level 2 like Authority did with Jake and is being offered rites to perform for additional abilities just like Ella.

Ya does our Apostles not like us? I mean ya the eye told us that we need to eat some people like Jake and Danica, but we only get corrupted and a dead end nothing else

The MC's apostles have been willing to go brawl with other Apostles for his safety, and don't seem to have any issue with him...for now. He inherited a clean 50%/50% split of his Stephen and Syla's 100% genetic compatibility for Body and Memory, but due to Syla not being human and somehow making her overwritten DNA not 100% Memory There's a non-zero chance that Memory might have some beef with him in the future.

As for the eye, we don't currently know what that is or how it relates to the Apostles. All we know for sure is that it calls itself an origin and seems to be acausal to some extent, as it's perfectly aware of its losses in other Dead Ends.

The current theory is that it's an Arbiter, and that the reason why it's so hellbent on reaching completion again is because it originally held and wishes to hold again a power that's the combination the Body and Memory traits, akin to how Aglaecwif said Jake had the potential to manifest Order - a combination of the Authority and Power traits - if he wasn't so mentally weak. With some hints given when the MC links to the apostles in the Dream World, the completed power would probably be called Evolution.

Compatibility for specific traits is kinda weird in MC's case. If it's specifically genetic then it either isn't an issue or won't be because MC can literally completely change his physical makeup so that might have just been fixed when he awakened as a superhuman (or could be fixed in the future otherwise since he can change his genetics).

And if trait compatibility comes from the soul, or something else that goes beyond the physical level (and is inherited), then there shouldn't be any problem regardless unless Syla's soul (or whatever it is that affects this) was altered by something, and so far we don't have any evidence of that happening, though it's not like we know every single little detail of Syla's life.

Although, so far, we have seen exactly zero powers that we know for sure can affect the soul, which isn't a surprise considering that it's the mix of light and darkness. The closest candidate so far is Nyx, whose power does seem to relate to the soul in some way, though I'd wager she has a non-small mix of power in there as well. My guess for her power's trait makeup would be something like 50% power, 30% darkness, and 20% from either truth or destruction, leaning towards the latter.

I feel like that's a bit of a stretch. If MC is considered an "exact fit" at 50% of the 3rd and 49% of the 4th respectively. How could Michael be higher than 50% with the 2nd but not be an exact fit under her standards? Michael would have to be sub 60% with the 2nd. Otherwise, Ella is contradicting herself. Especially if Jake is also borderline a halfie like MC. Seeing as he had the potential for Order.

The 2nd Apostle "liking" Michael likely has nothing to do with compatible and more with his warmonger like desire to pursue power at any cost. He wouldn't need too high compatibility. Just enough to get in the door. It wouldn't be the first time an Apostle favored a spawn over another of their line for a specific thing. Though reversed, look at the 6th wanting Alice over Aos and that was because Alice is much more ruthless. Along with probably being much higher than Aos in compatibility.

That said, it also doesn't matter as much with the 2nd specifically anyway. With Indra still living and his Chosen. The 2nd doesn't need to prioritize compatibility as much. Unless you believe Michael is somehow much more compatible than Indra, who was gifted with being an Apostle Avatar.

Hey, how's it going. Just talking a bit about the update.

Been kind of wrestling for a while, as I often do on when exactly I should cut off the end of the next update, how much I should take on, etc. Was gonna make it a super long one, but like last year, I'm gonna be going away on christmas so I don't wanna be pushing that shit back til January. So in the end I've decided to just go the old fashion medium size route.
So, when does that mean it'll come out? Early December probably, two or three weeks from now at a guess, I think I can get it out around then, which isn't bad timing for me, as I'll be heading out shortly after. So yeah, that's about the goal, we'll see how it goes.

Anyway, that's it, catch you next week.

I think this would mean that there isn't just 100% of affinity someone can have with a trait, if that makes sense. It isn't split between all of your affinities, but rather a separate scale for each.

Either that or Ella meant that MC was an exact fit for evolution rather than body specifically, as saying that someone with 50% affinity is an exact fit doesn't quite math.

If this is correct, MC would have an affinity of 100% for body and (presumably) 99% for memory.
