Would just like to say a few things:
It has been like 3 times I thought the game was close to an ending but then I realized it's not close. (After Klaus, SIN base attack, even after jake I thought it may end sometime soon)
As things stand I dont really see an ending soon as we have some major stuff to go through like Tiffany-father situation, eclipse war, Ella's plan, SIN, maybe Charlie's shenanigans... And these are just the ones on top of my head that I think may get an arc, the dev will most likely add more stuff along the way.
And while I do love that this game just keeps on giving, the one piece of VNs, it just sucks that the dev cant pop out updates constantly. Wish there was a way for him to get some help on it so we can get more content. Saw the patreon and it's not that much (and will probably stay that way as is the situation of nsfw games).

I expected a good story because everyone kept saying to power through the art for the story. What I didn't expect was my heart to be shattered into a thousand pieces. I feel so sad for both Amber and Liz. I can handle most things, but what happened in that lab was too much for me. Can't believe Tanos is a bigger piece of shit than his daddy

It was very painful, until now i think the most traumatic superhuman transformantion. But also very important to make people connect more with Liz and Amber, i like them quite a lot, but that is not unanimity here.
And they honestly needed more screen time and character development, even if i understand how difficult it must be to keep lots of characters relevant when there are so many.

I'm only nearing the end of the 'Protag, Liz, Amber, and Deryl have been captured by SIN' arc and I don't know what's happened to Liz yet cause stupid fucking Deryl just keeps dropping stupid fucking hints but I swear I'll never forgive you WeirdWorld for this arc. I came here for a wank and instead I'm curled up in a blanket sniffling waiting for it to end cause Amber and Liz (if she's alive and she better be you bastard) are gonna need therapy for life. I can't handle this shit. I am scared to keep reading. Liz just woke up with weird eyes. FUCK.

This game has me heavily emotionally invested and that part was ROUGH. Up to that point, the game seemed to avoid the worst of those types of topics or avert them last second. Then we get to the scene of Amber just kinda hanging there, begging for mercy... and it hits like a truck. Completely throwing expectations of a last-minute save by some random out the window. I'm re-reading now and I am NOT looking forward to going through that again.

Yeah. The fact it happened to innocent Amber and Liz, the MC's biggest/closest connections to the "normal" world... This event turned them into side characters (of varying popularity and I personally liked) and into main characters we are sympathetic and invested in.

So far I like Xanthe Sr but it's quite possible/probable that the only reason he's not shown to be as bad as Tanos is due to the rest of the council holding him back... And given his conversation with Dexter about not holding back with test subjects going forward and how Malik wasn't going to be happy, I don't imagine that will still be the case when we get back.

And, whats extra wild and highly unusual for the genre is that the side characters get this too! Instead of being the ceremonial ball washers of the MC, they get their own time in the limelight with the same level of care given to their fights.

And I think special mention should also be given to the fact that a lot of those fighting side characters are hot love interests.

Most media, women are always treated with kid gloves and are either complete noncombatants or if they are, then they'll max get one serious-looking injury in the whole series. For example, One Piece or MHA, the list is really endless.

Not so here. Just look at Alice, who gets the shit kicked out of her just like any anime protagonist, and just powers through with grit and determination, and nobody treats her any differently in a fight. There's no sense of "well they're just a side character" or "well they're a hot girl" when it comes to action, they're all just as badass as can be without worrying about "upstaging" the MC or making the reader uncomfortable.

These side characters are even allowed to help MC defeat the "main boss", SH doesnt feel the need to make sure the MC can solo every arc villain as if it would diminish their right to be the MC if they couldn't.

To be honest I do think he is a good man, that has done some fucked up things, and has big, BIG flaws, his over emotional self for one.

But seriously I don't see him being worse than the other Captains, for instance he clearly worry for the MC, and the way the Eye describe him, 'Completed but keep whole by faith', make me think that among the three natural level 5, he is probably the one with less corruption, not saying that religious people is inherently good or something, but that specific line, about being completed(a perfect spawn) but keep whole, make me think his beliefs keep him fairly grounded and in touch with humanity

He's got plenty of flaws and isn't as good as he seems, I don't remember exactly what it was that really cemented that idea in my mind but I'm fairly sure it was either something he suggested during a meeting or how he agreed with a course of action that was very morally questionable towards normal human's.

I believe mentality is the biggest factor in how strong a power shapes up. And a person that faces a natural evolution has 99 times out of 100 a much stronger mentality compared to one that took the serum shortcut.

That's why even if MC's lv3 evolution technically counts as a serum evolution it doesn't affect his overall potential. He was by all definitions ready to make that evolution.

This is by all that I've read correct, as I've stated in the past from everything I've read in game the path your powers take and your overall growth are mainly governed my mentality. There are other factors of course but none of them are quite as important as your mental state, it's the main reason why no two Superhuman's evolve the same way even if they share the same progenitor and also why despite what some people may want we will very likely never do the things Syla could do, simply because our power's will not go down the same path as her's.

From some of the things Doll Ella has said, I can't help but feel like the morality stuff will come into play when the MC confronts Ella herself at the end; whether she's back as the doll or as herself.

It seems like a big part of Ella's character (the one who turns us anyway) is hubris. Her arrogance led her to try and evolve to be the perfect avatar for Body only to find out she's fundamentally flawed in some way. Her arrogance led her to believe her plan was the only way forward no matter what it cost anyone else; including the people who follow her. Her arrogance led her to believe that because she was a lvl 5 the whole SIN business didn't affect her or her plans. Her arrogance led her to believe "her" kids wouldn't turn to anyone else like Tanos if she wasn't in the picture.

It just feels like it's building up to the MC having either the relationship points/morality points or some combination thereof to deconstruct how fundamentally destined for failure her plan was because of her own short sighted ego, the way you can do to the big boss of the first fallout game.

Either that or I really want someone to verbally take her down a peg or three and not have it be implied to be some nebulous part of her master plan. XD

Secondly, Ella is less arrogant and more confident and for good reason, let's not forget she's been a Superhuman for a long time and is rather adept at wielding her powers, she's not just talking shit without anything to back it up. A prime example of that was when she was fighting Malik and Nico, the mere fact that she wasn't immediately beaten while fighting someone like Malik proves that she knows what she's doing.

Finally, I really, really don't think it's going to go the way you think it will at the end. Ella has committed to much, sacrificed to much to be talked down at this point, in fact she herself has said if the MC wants to stop her he'll have to beat her, she's been very open about that. She genuinely believes she's right but at the same time is willing to accept whatever path the MC takes should he beat her.

Speaking of hitting like a truck. I just got to the "Embrace her" scene and had to put the game down and cry for a bit. I've played probably 100 VNs at this point and this might be a first. WeirldWorld's earned that patreon sub from me. And Tanos has earned the most painful death imaginable. Playing a low corruption route but I can make an exception for that bastard.

This game reminds me a lot of Worm (the webnovel by Wildbow) in a lot of ways. The creative uses of powers, their mysterious alien origins, the gigantic cast of characters with great characterisation, etc. The A&L bits reminded me a lot of the Bonesaw chapters in Worm which were probably the most uncomfortable I've ever felt reading a story.

Yeah, the feelings I got from the story was that of humanity stealing "fire" from the "gods".

There's a scene after a HERO meeting when Nyx asked him "being a good guy is not easy huh?" and he was very reluctant about the word "good guy". I think it's the earliest hint that his misdeeds(necessary evil or not) along the years have started catching up to his conscience, and his faith is actually not as well kept as it seems.

Well he is most likely a lvl4(lvl3 Cole with full force couldn't even budge his arms and he didn't want to fight him despite hating him to the guts) and still has a big role in the plot, so MC is not killing him anytime soon.

I'm not sure about that. If his story about spending a lot of time hunting for the ideal monster to gain powers from is true (and it probably is, as there's little reason to lie about that), then Tanos is willing to take longer if it has superior results. We don't know how Tanos' current method of triggering evolution is, but we know that it's not as good as his father's. Tanos might be holding off on evolving until he refines his process to be at least as good as the evolution serum.

It's a dream the MC has very early in the game. Like, I think it's even before the frat house. It's why people were suspecting Syla's death had something to do with monsters long before we learned anything about her. Between a mysterious death and dreams hinting at that death it was clear Syla was plot relevant from early on.
