It might sound daft, but have you tried restarting your system?

I've had Ren'Py games that worked fine on one day, then going back to them on a different day and that happens, then the next day they're fine.

I thought that could have been the reason, too. I downloaded it yesterday, but it didn't open then, and I tried again today, it still doesn't. I guess I'll delete and download the game again. Someone suggested going to the discord, so if it still doesn't work, I guess I'll check there

Yeah its a typo in the script.
Just go to game--->scripts--->eventreturn.rpy and jump to 'gentie' with ctrl f.
Just remove the extra 't', so it now reads genie and save, the event should play normally after that.

It is extremely likely. If you notice during the fight when he starts freaking out, the color of his name changes, implying that the real Chosen aka the Black Mouth, stopped possessing him.

Good catch, I thought something was up when I read "Then it seems we must fight. Let's see what Yuren is capable of.", but it was way too late. That color change is a orange-ish pink to standard orange. Hell, they are labeled 'Yuren' and 'Yurent' as speakers.

The possession idea makes him awfully similar to Langdon, which is something I really, really don't like.

On that note the line "Yuren's been sar gevurah for over a decade." has turned out to be interesting, because that's a reference to Kabbalah and also a weird portmanteau. My hebrew is a bit rusty but the words mean 'lord' (note the lower case) or 'angel' and gevurah means 'Judgement' or 'Strength' and refers to the fifth sephirah of the Kabbalah. A possible but weirder translation would be 'lord five'.

WW said it's the final arc, so how many updates are left will depend on how much each one covers of the seven days.

Then there's the post–seven days sub-arc, the final climax, and the epilogue. So, in my opinion, it's going to take at least three more updates (if the last one is version 1.0), and at most four or five, depending on how much progress is made through the seven days and what follows.

Personally, I think we're only about 20% through this final arc.

And, that's just my dumb guess.

Something I really liked about the fight with Yuren was that it made the Mantis Fist feel powerful again. How long has it been since Mantis attacks were a decisive weapon, and not just a slight damage boost? By my count, it was all the way back against Deryl-Rebis. It's become passe, something expected. But with this new strength-focused form, the magic is back. It's more than a standard attack, it's a hypersonic bullet punch that cracks diamond flesh and sends foes crashing through entire buildings. The MC's original killer move regaining its proper place goes a long way to make him feel strong.

Nah the story is over for Superhuman with that final shot you saw of the monsters destroying the city theres a sequel COMEing called Superhuman 2 which will continue the story from that point onward but Weirdboy doesnt want to make it as long as the 1st one cause he already spent way too much time on that 1st game. Also Superhuman 2 would be part of the same game/engine called Superhuman its just like a next arc or chapter if you wanna call it.

Ah noted. Seems there's a lot of unresolved plot lines there.

False, you don't lose money from leaks. No one here was going to pay for it, that isn't paying for it.
Piracy has no effect on sales or donations, it does have a mirror effect on the number of charge backs. But you don't ever want a refund or a charge back, they both cost you money. (5% of a refund last I checked comes out of pocket)

Epilogue? I think that depends on whether or not Superhuman is the end of this story and not just a break.

I am still hoping the idea of this being the end, is just so he can release it on Steam as a complete game but the story continues in Superhuman 2 Electric Boogaloo.

As many know the game just has far too much going on to get a statisfying ending and there is this update introducing a new threat with the cult and the Black Mouth.

All roots technicality. You can have sex with the Jock and the Jock dudes girl friend (avoidable), in the glory hole. You can Get gang banged by black dudes at the party (avoidable), you walk in on Jake hynoing some of the girls and it isn't shown but he totally fucked them. (unavoidable) Oh also you can let the sponcer fuck one of the twins and the like. That one is avoidable and obvious as well.
