IIRC Aos was killed by Indra or Valravn. I'm pretty sure it was stated they had both killed three Chosen. Also, if it was one of the Big Three, why doesn't H.E.R.O. have his corpse? Also also, the Chosen represent a tier of strength above S (they call it S+) that H.E.R.O. seemed surprised to encounter. If they had already fought Aos, then they shouldn't be.

It depends on how much prep time Deryl gets. We haven’t seen the new Jake in a fight yet, so it’s hard to judge—but I think if Deryl knows he’s going up against Jake and has at least a few hours to prepare, he wins. Even if it’s a surprise for both of them and Deryl doesn’t get to prepare, I still think he’s got a solid shot. The experience gap between them is massive.

If what Jake says about his powers being able to affect current MC, then Deryl would be beyond cooked. Especially since apparently people don't even need to hear him for his power to work.

Is more a matter of what would you like more, MC being a HERO or just some rogue monster killer. So far doesn't really give such drastic changes, beyond well, being story flavor, but chances are high that in the future, get you on the better side of a particularly powerful ally(hasn't happened in game, but it seem possible to happen, eventually.)

It's just like the fights. Minmaxxing gives you a satisfying ending to the fights (generally by winning without help at the end) but just not being a dumbass guarantees you a win either way.
No prep ? Probably Jake since his stuff should be an insta win vs anyone who is not a lieutenant, so you gotta be a level 4 by the most part. People like Shen and MC probably have a better resistance to mind altering stuff and could probably do it at level 3, high 3 though. With prep Deryl is just ridiculous but by god Jake did not fuck around with his prep. It should be pretty even but I can see either side winning it.
Is the current version basically v1? I played a few updates back

Obviously calling him would be the best way, but unless I'm mistaken (and that's certainly possible since I have played this section in years, though the fact that her number is unidentified indicates otherwise), he's never given her his phone number. I think it's pretty understandable that he's initially confused at her calling him.

His mom was a ditz. You could make arguments that being strong in Memory makes reality a little uncertain and that's why she was like that, but maybe she was just flighty and her son takes after her in that regard.
boys I don't understand any fuck after the Cole update and I don't get what the MC's mother has to do with anything can somebody explain?
What exactly is the Cole update (their fight?). MC mom was a monster, a chosen of Memory, from the monster world. She came to the current world, and had a child (MC). She died, but is still able to guide her son toward her own goals.

Deryl would have no chance without prep time, as he managed to fight against him without being affected in the past only because of monsterification shenanigans. Jake mind control could even somehow work on level 5 superhumans when he was much weaker, so I think the massive fighting experience and power ups Deryl got in the monster world arc training are still not enough to match his raw power.
However I might be a little biased when it comes to Jake
