Speaking of family. When you think about it, the 3rd and 4th seem to have a lot of kinship among their line of monsters and spawns.
The 3rd and 4th are cool with each other. The 4th out there servicing her son. Even Aglaecwif was preaching about how shared blood is more important over friendship. That's likely why the MC, specifically, survived their encounter. At her level, she could just take what she wanted and killed him but since he's any combination of cousin/brother/uncle(if she's a lower gen), she gave him some monster booty and info or power, and all she wanted was his seed, in return. Then there's the Minyaks who are willing to team up with their "sisters" if need be to fight a threat or hunt together.
That isn't to say other monsters outside of them don't have it. It just seems more like the strong leads weak with the others. Even the 6th out there telling his Granddaughter thing to off her Papa Fairy. It's also implied that the kin of the 6th slaughter a lot. It would explain why Hex has no problem offing the MC, twice, even if he's important for Ella's plan. That's why you can't let your guard down around those midspawns. Excluding Alice and Nico, of course.
This also has me curious about what would happen if Tiffany met Valravn. I wonder if he would be hostile or give slight acknowledgement before dismissing her existence. Also Nico meeting the Fairy or Michael clashing his power with Jake. Hell, I'm also hoping for current MC vs Ella in a sparring fight. While the MC would lose at his current level, it would be interesting to see their fight now that he crossed over into Level 3. I actually want to see her reaction to it. It's a shame it didn't cut to her when it happened mid fight against Deryl. Only the dead end let's her see it.
