I must be missing something, or this game is very tough.

I think/hope it's just because this is a demo. Screw that boss fight. And screw the clothing damage being tied to HP in 2022.

You forgot to fix your hp with a memory editor.

OK. So here is how I beat the first boss:
1. Edit save file to give you all items
2. Take lifesteal, speed, and holy water
3. Spam sword on the boss and bait him to rape you.
4. Keep spamming the sword. The boss keeps taking damage even if the rape animation has started and Boss' health bar is no longer visible.
5. Profit
