Do I need to start a new game to unlock the cabin event?

Cabin events (the already implemented one and the upcoming one) are level up events and don't require you to start a new game.
Just make sure that you read the in-game walkthrough if you've finished all required events for the level up to trigger.

Do we know if the urination content will go beyond just watching?

There's a bit more, but it's not going too far.

I just downloaded one of our official public HQ releases.

Obviously, it would take hours to check upon every single image, but the ones you posted are fine.
I assume, everything else will be, too.

If I had to guess, there was probably a download or unpacking issue.

when i get good wifi again i will try redownloading, unpacking and the torrent HQ version

I don't know what you'd be considering a “grind fest.”
Yes, the game has a lot of text, but there is no money grind and such.

There are a couple of mandatory events pointed out in the in-game walkthrough for the level up event.
You also need 100% affection for each character to advance, which usually doesn't even need all non-mandatory events to be played.

Conclusion: a lot of text, but no usual grind in terms of repeating events, money grind and such

You could call this a grind since playing this feels like a chore after a certain point. It’d be a miracle if someone doesn’t experience burnout and is able to play this continuously. If you had stopped playing this at some point already because of boredom and how much text there was then there is no point in coming back to it. It only becomes even more of a slog to get through as the “story” goes on.

OP has been updated to SA's latest build 0.10.14 (Level up Part 1 & Lingerie)

Since there was some confusion among Tier 3 and 2 supporters, I'd like to state that this update contains all Lingerie events as well as the first part of the level up event. Part 2 will be coming at the end of January and complete the main levels.

Going forward, updates will contain Sarah & Shannon ending events and/or side character content.

I don't think they are need - extra dev time, resources, and size.
I keep the system on mute.
