As dexterdx stated, this is incorrect.
Saying little to no forced cultural influence is really understating it. Just look at basically the biggest cultural and societal change to Japan post-WW2 which paved the way for the later changes. It was the US forcing them to adopt a constitution based on Western ideals which were very different right down to the individual rights of the people. Forcing them to adopt things like freedom of expression made for no small cultural impact. The fact that a lot of them welcomed the change afterward doesn't negate the fact they really had no choice in it. Hell the US has done it to Japan more than once. They also went through a rather huge and essentially forced cultural change when the Black Ships showed up and made them open the country when their culture at the time was built around isolation. It was what put them on the world stage, moved them into the industrial age and colonization. Just like after WW2 tho the individual changes that came afterward were do to all sorts of tangled causes and various influences but what got the ball rolling was pretty much straight up someone forcing a change on their culture at a rather fundamental level.
While I may be generalizing quite a bit, it is still true and almost all genitalia is redrawn by fans/translators, due to how little detail they put on it. I don't mind censored scenes, uncensored is more like a bonus to me. But if you ever read Japanese media you should just be used to it, not to mention that you can usually fill in the blocky bits with the power of your mind, amazing. Censorship of content entirely and not genitalia is a different matter though.
Don't worry too much about it, I haven't seen anyone harp on people for "necroing" here.
