I'm not familiar with the whole SAO franchise, so I don’t even get most of the connections and therefore won’t argue about them. However, there is another problem with such changes, as Fujino essentially undermines his own narrative with them. For example, removing Kirito’s achievements from the past isn’t necessarily a good Idea of you think about it. It diminishes the NTR aspect of the game and leans more towards natural cheating. If his backstory updates are revealed so late in the game and it turns out he was never anything special, it makes Asuna’s affection for him absolutely nonsensical in retrospect.

If people claim that everything makes perfect sense, it’s also fair for others to have an opposite opinion, especially when we provide arguments. Also, it’s not like we only complain; especially Alter has praised Fujino’s SAO knowledge several times.
It looks like you really don't understand SAO. Asuna's feelings for Kirito were already very deep in the SAO arc. The developments in ALO were just icing on the cake, not decisive. Don't get too caught up in Asuna's father's original setting. Since Sinon's chest can grow larger, it's not strange for Asuna's father to be more sensitive either.I mean, I have mentioned before that at the end of the day I long-since, even back in Part 1, gave up and just decided to enjoy the Hentai, that's what I was here in the first place, but back then Fujino's writing with this was also WAY simpler so it was easier to just stay silent XD It honestly feels like the more he tries to write his plot as a complex thing while indirectly referencing and twisting the OG SAO plot (Not even the characters but the actual setting), the more the stupid and inconsistent writing of this NTR-verse AU stands out, so yeah, it honestly just keeps sticking more and more for me when he releases updates like these and keeps trying to put explanations that just create more plot holes if you know even remotely anything about SAO
As I said, I legit couldn't care less about the main story, but I just can't stop my brain from going on a rampage every time he so casually butchers and twists the setting more and more when he could perfectly just not do that and keep focusing on Inoda NTR-ing Asuna and nobody would give a shit either way XpP

Really, as other people said, it's not a BIG deal, and most players clearly give no fucks as they're here exclusively to see Asuna get NTR-ed from Kirito, but at times lately it has felt a bit too much for me, is like Fujino is trying to pump more and more half-assed Canon facts that he has twisted to suit him however he wants that just make the others contradicting or ignoring Canon stand out more (Yui's limbo existence, the ultra-dumb "doesn't matter if it's a game", nobody giving a shit that Silica has vanished from existence, the entire Administrator-Goddess-plot...honestly, Fujino tried to make the plot so 'complex' that it just feels like he struggles to keep it being a dumb NTR game while also trying to write something overly epic at times, but that in itself is beyond a doubt praise-worthy, especially with how dedicated he is to keep making this game).

That's not the point. I understand their original relationship well enough, but it actually doesn’t matter. According to Fujino's vision, they were just a couple of kids playing husband and wife in a VR game (at least from Asuna’s perspective). As a result, their relationship in this reality is nothing like in the original series, which makes Asuna's affection lack a solid foundation in this story. The truth is, the more changes that are made, the messier the whole story becomes. Also, considering Fujino's last report, seems like he wants to make even more changes, so it's probably going to get even weirder from now on.

That Asuna's father change seems like a deliberate choice by Fujino to weaken the bond between Kirito and Asuna. When Kirito beat Kayaba he saved everyone. When he beat Sugou he specifically saved Asuna (from being raped and or mind control). So by not letting Kirito beat Sugou is Fujino trying to say Kirito is not as dependable for Asuna in this AU thus letting Inoda have a better way into her heart?

As I said, Fujino should really stop trying to make the plot more 'complex' and just stick to Inoda NTR-ing people, because the more he does the messier the writing gets for anyone who cares, while the ones that don't care just enjoy the NTR, but that also means he's ONLY writing such a complex thing for the people who care and, again, those are the exact same people being put-off by all his BS attempts at turning SAO's 'lore' into his own plot XP

Personal I like Fujino trying to write a complex story. Without that this game is still a good fap. With that this game is the most impressive game here IMO. Most developers won't even try to balance interesting story with fun gameplay. But Fujino tried and mostly succeeds.Pretty much, that's the entire reason to solving the plot-hole with that change. Save 8 is at the beginning of sewer. I was able to get through without the door blocking me.
Save 18 is right after the blocked door.

Shit I just realized, I've only seen Season 1 of Sword Art Online, and based on the discussion you fuckers are having, if I play part II of this game I'm gonna get spoiled on the real Sword Art Online. So I gotta go watch those first. Sword Art Online is awesome, and Kirito is the man. Asuna is awesome too. I watched the first season at a very crucial time in my life, and it was a tremendous love story that deeply touched me. Even the episode of Kirito and Liz really took hold of me
