You may want to check if you have Crypted or no crypted assets. Does file in the img are in .png or .rpgmvp
Then open system.json file in data folder with a text editor then look at the last line:
,"windowTone":[0,0,0,0],"hasEncryptedImages":true,"hasEncryptedAudio":true} you get this line if the file are in .rpgmvp format [Crypted]
,"windowTone":[0,0,0,0]} you get this line if the file are in .png format [No Crypted]
That error may occur if the assets a not crypted [.png] but the system has [,"hasEncryptedImages":true,"hasEncryptedAudio":true] just get rid of that and vice versa if they are in crypted [.rpgmvp] you need to add that line [,"hasEncryptedImages":true,"hasEncryptedAudio":true] if you don't see it

Are they above 0% in the config of your game. Did you by chance touch the sound overlay of windows
For all the game or just in some map?
Well if the game did not find the Audio you will get an error screen.

I am starting to think Fujino must put a giant banner in the game when you reach the end of the update, so many people fail to realize its the end, its baffling.
All memories have no dialogue text, no sound. No error prompt appeared.
Could it be normal?

If it's that one it's normal, the animation are made by gif with multiple frame put one by one with a plugins not video format, the sound is added with script.
Unless it's a copy/paste event the Dev made there won't be sound. That map was made to find unused stuff.
That's right, he should add a banner to let people know that this is the end. But there is a bird and when you touch the bird, information appears. When I touched the bird, information appeared that this was the end of the version.

Not worth the effort. Only people on pirate sites keep asking the question. People are not bothering Fujino with this on his paid sites. Why should he care?
I agree with some of what you said, but I think we should not underestimate the power of advertising made by people who do not financially support the producer while playing the game.
