In version 0.65, you can start a new game from the current version. I think in version 0.70 you can just as easily start playing with version 0.65. Usually, saves from old versions don't work in new ones.

Whenever a new version comes out there is usually a Save 1 included that starts at the beginning of the update. If there is no save included then use "Now Game" and choose the bottom choices to start the game at the update. NEVER use saves from older versions. It usually does not work.
ok so if i understand right, on the 2nd screenshot this is the beginning of update 0.65 and when update 0.70 comes out there will but a chapter II right below that one ?
The idea itself is good for the scene, but didn’t the NPC say that all four players need to be present for the trial? Unless Inoda intentionally logs out out of jealousy, and while Asuna and Kirito try to figure out what went wrong, Inoda can have his way with Asuna IRL
