You're probably responding to the half-finished part I'm refering to. But you're not really understanding the context in which I'm talking about it in. I just mean half-finished in the "story arc" since the developer will try to do a monthly release/update for the people that are paying. This tends to mean that sometimes they don't finish the arc in the story, or the event they were working on before the month ends. Anyways there's nothing really wrong if they're churning out content for money, versus zero communication and nothing to show for it.That's the problem with Patreon founded games: there is no incentive for the creator to finish the game.
They make more money during development than by finishing the game. So they do just enough updates so people still pay them, while delaying the release as much as possible.
