Funniest shit is that, beyond a single adrenaline moment, Kirito sucked so much IRL canonically that it may have been quite even, especially if Inoda threw himself on top of him first and the weight didn't let him get up

At least before the movie retconning him into able to keep up with a superhuman who was ricocheting off walls moving faster than the eye could see after 2 days of 'training' consisting mostly of watching Suguha's tits swing up and down as she tried to train him in kendo online through a tablet XD (Which just made Johnny Black being able to get him at the beginning of Alicization feel extra-stupid really :3)

90 percent of Inoda's success is due to Asuna's stupid and compliant behavior. And Kirito got Asuna for a reason - they went through life and death situations in Aincrad. So the fat guys who are playing the game can only hope that Asuna and Kirito don't suddenly get smarter.
